Porter tweeted a crying face with Goodman's tweet saying he was gone.

I know Fuller played a role in him staying committed after KA was announced.

Namon didn't stay committed to Mizzou when Kim Anderson was hired.

Where did he end up signing? I think he might have some talent. Whichever team got him is going to be pleased in the long term.

If this was coming anyway, which I think everyone agrees it was, now is probably the best time for him to leave. I think/hope that we have already hit rock bottom.

As for a replacement...I'm liking Anthony Grant or Porter's dad. Sure it is a coup for his sons, but its not like he is just some random parent. He is a assistant on the womens team.

I just don't see a guy like Grant being a good fit with KA and KA's style. Don't know why that is. Frankly, I see Nestor as more compatible with KA.

I've seen a lot of talk about Porter's dad. I suppose it makes as much sense as hiring Tatum out of high school. But if I were being serious, one is a women's coach and I don't know how often they cross over to men's hoops and the other is a high school coach that may not have put in his time quite yet.

Anthony was an underachieving coach at a football school who played a plodding methodical style of basketball.

What's not to fit?

He didn't play slow at VCU or when he was an assistant at Florida.
KA didn't play slow at Central. Don't be surprised if the pace picks to 75ish ppg compared to the 60ish this year.

Don't be surprised if it stays in the 60s.

Apparently Washington is thought to be after Porter Sr. too, since their head coach is also the Porter kids godfather.

Wouldn't shock me either way, but I do expect to pace to be higher next year. This year we averaged 62 possessions, KA teams over his career have averaged around 75 possessions.

He has also stated a few times in interviews that his ideal teams would average 75+ points/game.

SC board says there are some rumors he may land there as an assistant. Meaning he ends up at neither.

I think Grant would be a home run hire. Don't really see it happening though. If he wanted to stay as a head coach I would imagine he could find a landing spot.

Unless KA brings in 2-3 five star recruits that we don't know about this team ain't getting close to 75 points a game next year.

I was just pointing out that KA has always played faster than Mizzou played this season.
His last team at Central averaged 80 a game.
I look for him to work more on offense this offseason and to at least increase the pace.
