Pretty much expected. He didn't make any hay on the recruiting trail this year anyway.

Pretty sure the vast majority of them do.

couple of demographics to look at for the replacement. All current Mizzou BBall coaches are white, so Fullers replacement almost has to be black. With The current assistants being pretty young wouldn't hurt to get someone with experience.
Two names I can think of off the top of my head are Ray and Grant. Both have head coaching experience and are solid recruiters. Ray also has major ties to KC. Although I would like someone with ties to STL. Grant was at Florida when they got Lee.

Not surprised he's leaving. He was good, but I never felt like he was all he was billed up to be. Fulford came in and landed as many big names as Fuller in 1/24th the time.

As for a replacement. Justin Tatum. Yes, for his son. No, not just for him. Instant in into the STL market and AAU scene. Being a high school coach or D2 coach obviously isn't a concern so I say what the hell.

Just kidding. Kind of. Maybe not.

You know things have reached the absurd level when someone on TB posted that Fuller left because KA suspended him for his table manners and the next post is hoping that's not true as if it could be.

Not worried about MGC or Gant but I am worried about Namon now.

Wright wasn't even initially recruited by Fuller was he? I know Fuller played a role in him staying committed after KA was announced.

Also, wasn't it Gant whose family or AAU coach or whoever it was basically said if it wasn't for Fuller staying he would have been gone when Haith left.

Gant is the one to worry about.

Gants whole fam moved to MO, so him leaving now would be rather difficult as far as a big picture.

Johnny Parker, yes the Johnny parker was the reason Namon found mizzou, and not why mizzou found Namon. When he looked at mizzou he was first met by Fuller, the rest is history.

obviously I could be wrong and wouldnt put money on being right, just what I think.

I think Phelps, who left for Marquette, recruited Wright. Not Fuller. Fuller might have been the first to meet with him AFTER Haith left though.

I've heard crazier ideas.

His son chose to not play for him in HS. Although he would have a state title had he chose to do so. Not sure Tatum would get Mizzou his son, but he does have some good contacts in STL.

His son was already in high school when Justin got the job. He would have had to sit out a year if he transferred. Given the amount of hype that got generated during that year, yeah, I think it would have been a mistake to sit out that year.

I missed that part of him having to sit out a year had he transferred to play for his father.

Yepp. Unless he had some sort of exemption or exception. I know I wanted to transfer schools in high school but didn't because I didn't want to lose the year of eligibility. The team I coached had to sit who would have been our best pitcher because he transferred. I think you don't lose the year if the school you left didn't offer the sport you play at the new school.
