I think Park is the best option. He is more athletic than Ramsey and Ramsey has shown poor accuracy and questionable decision making.

Ramsey seems like a player who will kiss up to authority more than Park would so Ramsey likely wins the job.

I wish today's football was more like it was when I first became a fan too many decades ago. In the distant past quarterbacks were empowered and they called all the plays. In the NFL the teams than win are the teams dominated by empowered quarterbacks.

The back-up QB is always the most popular player on the team among fans. It feels like Park has grabbed that role this offseason.

Until one of them starts a game, all we have is backups. Ramsey's 39 career passes don't even seem like enough to qualify him as a front runner. So everybody is just speculating based on what little information we have.

I like the group and whoever wins should be a very good candidate for our system. Heck, we even have a walk-on who might do a decent job in this system with a little experience:

Agree completely. I was just saying that it seems like Park has evolved into a little bit of a fan favorite and speculating as to why that is.

Probably because Park looked like a tough kid on his HS videos and he's a pretty good scrambler. Unfortunately, that doesn't tell us whether he can stand in the pocket, go through a progression and hit the open man at real time SEC speed.

I know it won't happen, but I wish we could play these guys live in the spring, to see who can keep his head on a swivel and still see the receivers. Mason had the rep of being a pretty good downfield passer in practice, but he had some struggles seeing the field during games, IMO.

He looked more effective than Ramsey in last year's G-Day game he had only been in school a couple months. If he progressed I don't see why he wouldn't still be more effective.

How long do you think Richt and Schottenheimer will continue to string Bauta along and keep his hopes up?

They can get away with it now with all three QBs rotating through the 1s, 2s, and 3s....because these early practices are as much about learning/installing the new Offense as anything else...........

Until we need a fair catch expert if history is any indication.

Yea the truth is we won't know until next season (profound I know ). I'm sure after GDay there will be even more speculation and arguing etc.

What I'm interested in seeing is how long of a leash will coaches give them at the start of the season assuming one hasn't just taken complete control by then. Watching how Vandy declared a starter after a long offseason battle for the spot, then promptly yanked him during the first game and threw an even worse QB out there, was bad. It was an absolute disaster. And it ruined that QBs confidence. They start playing more uptight and that's not always a good thing.

Yea he was done with QB after Bobo threw him in at our own 5 or whatever already down somewhere between 3-5 TDs to UF. Shat his pants and tossed Spikes the ball for an easy pick 6. I did think that was a rough time in the game to finally get him some reps though.

Seems like I remember an interview once he was at Colorado where he wasn't happy with how UGA handled him. Though in fairness he never really showed anything on the field that proved he deserved to be playing over the starters.

And Mett looked better than Murray in the G-day game in '10... Not a great way to compare. I just want the guy the coaches feel is the best option. CMR/Schotty get the benefit of the doubt from me, they both make close to or more than a 6+ figure salary & aren't gonna jeopardize that by not starting the QB they thinks gives them the best chance to win. Me personally? I like Park, but if it's Brice, that's cool too cause it means he earned it, especially with all the focus on the position...

By the end of spring, I think they'll all have some indication where they stand. If Bauta proves he can move the offense, he'll still be in the conversation. In the absence of a proven real game qb, it's possible that none of these guys will be a lock even when the season starts.
