My wife is a die hard pig fan and we never watch the LSU/arky game together or it could get ugly and maybe awkward.
For the ones that are in a simular situation, what do you do during that specific game?

I know, I know...17-0

My wife grew up in SC cheering for USC and went to USC law.

We watch the games together but she always breaks up with me/threatens for divorce if UGA wins. She's a poor sport.

Girlfriend is coffee sipping hippie from California. She refuses to watch anything sports with me and hates that I love LSU more than her.

My fiancee is a big LSU fan but we're ok watching the games together. I just can't get overzealous if we win or I sleep alone.

I was with someone for about 2 years that was a bama fan. She was actually really good about things, she would go with me to Athens most weekends and cheer for UGA. Our teams only played once while we were together but we didn't go together, she stayed home while I went. We never mentioned the game after I got back.

That's a form of cross-dressing I suppose.

My wife is a second generation Auburn alum/fan. We go to the Iron Bowl. We've been sitting side by side in the stands for Alabama's comeback last year, Kick 6 (this one was just surreal to be in the Auburn section as an Alabama fan when that happened), the Bama blowouts, the Camback game, the Upchurch dagger, all the way back to the sack if you honked Brodie game (that is the first one we attended together). It can be a little awkward because one person is so excited but you do have a little tinge of hurt for the other person. Have to walk that line between celebrating and being obnoxious to the person on the other side of the fence. It's always fun though.

We are always throwing little snide remarks back and forth about each team. Just the other day, it came across espn that Darren Mcfadden signed with the cowboys, her first remark was
"Remember back in 2007 when Mcfadden played in Baton Rouge?"

I'm dating a Tennessee fan.

We made a basketball bet when Alabama was at Tennessee this year and I was fully expecting to wear a Tennessee sweater for a day. Pleasantly surprised by that one.

At least they like sports.

My girlfriend doesn't understand why a first down keeps happening when she thought it already happened. Basketball is a little better though.

Girlfriend is a huge LSU fan. I was with her for the 9-6 game and 21-0 game. I think we can make it through. At the end of the day you can be upset but don't let it come between the two of you and you'll be fine. You just have to be in control of your emotions.

Couples that get angry at each other over sports are just the worst.

I'm with you on this one except my wife roots for whoever LSU is playing. Football season is an interesting time in my house.
