Indeed. Most of their careers were at true basketball schools and I think you are bright enough to know what I meant.

If I say that your face will be fought is it my face or yours I'm speaking of and to make matters worse, will it be my fists or yours that will be performing the face rearrangement procedure????

Roy accused him of cheating to get Miller.

Isn't that amazing?

Roy Williams reported Donovan to the NCAA.

Absolutely. He has done an incredible job at UF and could be the best coach in all of college basketball.

Was Duke a "blueblood" basketball school prior to Coach K? I don't think they had won any championships prior to him.

Is a coach disqualified from your ranking if he is the one that made the school a blueblood?

Don't complicate it. Duke is a basketball school now in a Basketball conference.

Duke was actually a laughing stock before Coach K. I'm talking god awful. He built that program from nothing.

You asked if Donovan was the "best ever" though, so I think it is a fair question as to whether to include coaches that went to average basketball schools and turned them into basketball schools / bluebloods. If you don't include them you penalize guys that were so good they actually changed the very definition of the school.

Yes Duke had a good tradition before K got there.

My answer was going to be Lute Olson as he turned Arizona and Iowa into basketball schools.

Olson took both to Final Fours after both never had success. Florida had some success previously.

Nah, they had some decent success before Coach K. Nothing great and no championships, but they weren't that bad.

He is a good one, but not sure about best all time at a football school. Here are a some coaches I would endorse as well...

Fred Taylor(Ohio State 1958-1976)
1 National Title
2 National Title Games
4 Final Fours
7 Big Ten Championships

Billy Tubbs did pretty well at Oklahoma from 1980-1994. No national titles, but a plethora of other hardware. He won 333 games there.

Steve Fisher at Michigan. Cant get much bigger of a football school than Michigan. Fisher won the 1989 National Title, 3 Final Fours, and only missed the tourney once in his tenure at Michigan. Now, some of his wins and Final Fours are now also vacated.

You can add coach K then. I'm not sweating it. I have the AC on here in sunny FL.
