Tennessee is by far the most overrated team in the league this year.

I for one welcome this new Vol fan bravado. Beating Tennessee has become about as exciting as the spring game lately because not even the UT fans think they can win. Will be much better to continue the streak if you guys think you are going to win.

Uh oh, you said something positive about Tennessee :
Cue the fricktarded fricktards posting fricktarded things.

The scary thing about LSU's secondary is we just keep adding ridiulous talent. To go along with what we already have we have this freaking beast on campus already. If he isn't starting in the 1st game it won't be long after that. LSU will be the deepest it's ever been in the secondary in the next few years.

DBU is alive and well in Baton Rouge, and it's going to be awesome to watch.

9. Auburn: The Tigers yielded a lot to opposing passing games last year (230.08 yards per game; 12th in the SEC), but were also opportunistic, intercepting 22 passes. Returning Auburn defensive backs accounted for 12 of those interceptions -- Jonathan Jones (six), Johnathan Ford (three) and Trovon Reed (three).

Looks like you have this area covered pretty good already.

Sorry I've had other threads on this as these have come out most have seen them and commented.
ESPN is releasing positional rankings for each group in the SEC.
I am giving those rankings points for each team then calculating it out with different weights given to certain positions.
After that these rankings are what has come out for each formula.
Just giving people multiple ways to look at the rankings.
Georgia is looking good as well.
Looks like UGA, TN, Auburn, Bama and LSU are going to be the class of the SEC this year.
This was surprisingly accurate in picking the final standing in the SEC last year as it pegged 8 teams exactly right, 2 teams were 1 spot off, 4 were two spots off and South Carolina was the only one it missed badly on missing their finish by 4 spots.

Funny how Florida has fallen in the bottom half of every category posted by a UT fan...

These rankings come from ESPN's positional rankings that they've been releasing the past 2 weeks.
Florida is 3rd in the Secondary rankings.
I have just been taking each individual unit rankings for the teams and put them into some formulas to determine what the league is looking like heading into this year.
One formula weights QB'sx2 and OL and DL x1.5
Another DL and OL are x2 and QB's are 1.5
One has no weight just totals the point values
and then the last one uses average NFL salaries and multiplies it by the number of players that start at that position on the field.
ESPN has released QB's, RB's, WR/TE's, OL, DL, LB and DB's so far and have ST's coming out tomorrow to finish it up.
Using those formulas for all those positional rankings ESPN has released puts FL at 11,11,11 and 10 respectively.
This has no bias (unless you think the SEC ESPN blog is biased.)

It's a solid series of threads. Well done, OP.

I think the concept of math, statistical analysis and formula's scare a lot of the other team's ranters so that is why they lash out in anger.

So you're taking ESPN's rankings and then multiplying certain positions? Carry on then.
