Yea,

1st place in a position rating gets a team 14 points down to 1 point for 14th place.

Then each formula weights certain positions differently as many here have argued which positions are more important and first argued with my flat rankings with no weight at all.

So I just give everyone all of them for their viewing and analyzing pleasure.

Just to let you see the one using last years rating to see that it is not ridiculously innacurate.

Here would have been last years using the x2 QB and 1.5 OL/DL formula

2014
1. Alabama - 121
2. Auburn - 106.5
3. SC - 98.5
4. LSU - 95.5
5. Georgia - 93.5
6. Missouri - 92.5
7. Miss St - 89
8. Ole Miss - 88.5
9. Florida - 88
10. Texas A&M - 78.5
11. Tennessee - 46.5
12. Arkansas - 43
13. Kentucky - 31
14. Vandy - 29

That projected
WEST
1. Alabama (0)
2. Auburn (-2)
3. LSU (-2)
4. Miss St (+2)
5. Ole Miss (+2)
6. A&M (0)
7. Arkansas (0)

EAST
1. SC (-4)
2. UGA (0)
3. Missouri (+2)
4. Florida (+1)
5. TN (+1)
6. Kentucky (0)
7. Vandy (0)

Total deviation from final standings was 14 spots (one spot per team)...really not that terrible. Only one team had more than 2 spot deviation.

Thanks for posting these. It really puts how much Tennessee is about to start beating asses into perspective.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't your opponents be favored in six of your twelve regular season games?

Oklahoma
at Florida
Arkansas
Georgia
at Alabama
at Missouri

I'd bet that OU, UGA, UF, Missouri, and Arkansas will be pickems'.

Within 3 either way.

No, I don't believe so.

I would guess the lines in those games would be

Oklahoma (Vols -4)
@Florida (Pick Em)
Arkansas (Vols -2)
Georgia (UGA - 5)
@Bama (Bama - 10)
@Missouri (Missouri -3)

Looks like UGA will finish top across all 3 rankings after tomorrow.

We have a world class kicker and returner coming back. Also a punter who performs very well.

Those are ESPN's rankings, brah. Sorry but things aren't looking good in Gainesville with Dooley Jr. running the show.

Funny, we were picked to finish 11th in the conference last year, where did we finish again?

That's right, now shut up.

I sometimes wonder how window lickers like this can even remember to wipe their arse after they shite, much less come up with a coherent thought and put that thought into a readable post on a message board.

VOLS finished 7-6 while most had us pegged to win only 4 or 5 games in 2014. Athlon had UT at 6-6 iirc.

SDS predicted 4-8

CFP predicted 3-9
