We all want the best for Mississippi State, that's a given. The bigger and better we get, the better we are as individuals I believe.
The New Dudy Noble Field is going to be a great place to watch baseball, and it will be a point of pride for us when it is built.

However, I think these prices push out the common man. I like to think I do well and would darn near be willing to do what it takes to get in the chairbacks, but distance and the cost of hotels already puts me at a big commitment for money just getting up there. I would be bankrupting myself just to get me and my SO some seats. This shouldn't be happening..

I know the jokes, lol Poors, general admission or the bleachers for you. But I've been very blessed so far in life, I shouldn't be priced out of a seat. I guess I could just watch from the house now, but that's not what baseball is about. Baseball is exponentially better in person.

Now take the Left Field Lounge, the administration has done their best job at preserving what they can of the LFL. That's usually how I've attended ball games, as a guest of friends with a trailer. Even on big weekends there is always room for all of our friends and family. But the New LFL will be a series of booths not big enough for all of us to be there, hence the need to acquire seats.

I know the administration sees this new stadium as a big opportunity, but (and I don't think I'm alone in this) it seems like they have some $ $ in their eyes. The current rates are too high even for people who do relatively well. I'm not even touching on the premium areas because I know that's not my bag. Maybe I'm just over-thinking this whole deal.

TL;DR Too rich for my blood.

This alone will sell tickets. People will now attend MSU games not just because of on field performance, but also due to the atmosphere and up to date amenities. You will see an increase in attendance for midweek games solely because of the new stadium.

Won't be many people there if [not many] can afford it.

was [noone], but obviously some folks will be able to afford it.

This is part of the problem IMO.

Alumnus and Fans of Mississippi State in general have had it far to easy for far to long.

Chairbacks and premium seating costs money. If you don't have it, it's not a slight on you but that shite isn't free. The general admission tickets will still be there for 5 and 10 dollars. There will still be places in the outfield to stand and there will still be some seating for prices lower than the premium stuff released today.

It's not some slight against people that can't afford premium seating and the administration is not "pushing out" the common man.

I understand this and hope this is the case. I'm not the people over-reacting on fb comments. I'm just disillusioned by the prices.

I can understand the chairback owners grief too, but they had to know their one-time payment for seats couldn't last forever.

The Lofts are ridiculously expensive but other than that, compare football premium seating with baseball premium seating. Baseball is still lower.

Left Field Lounge sections are going to cost 2k a piece for a season. You could probably fit, what, 10 people in there? That's 200 per person for roughly 40 home games? That's not bad at all, considering that it comes at absolutely no upkeep at all for you.

Right, I mean that shite is ridiculous. Imagine how much money they were leaving on the table EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

Oh that would be more than doable if that's the case, I just think many Lounges are going to have to be more selective with friends in the new LFL format.

Well part of the reason to build them and do away with the rigs is so that 50 people couldn't pack onto a rickety structure waiting to collapse

The rigs are sound. I can only vouch for the one I attend though.

I sort of disagree with how the lofts are being done, and for that reason... I am out.

Truthfully, I thought that they would be more like condos where you own the loft and then pay an association fee like you do with any condo. The university would get a huge boost of funds up front and then regular money from the monthly fees.

Having said that, if they get the $50K per unit + the other monies that go with them + they sell out, then more power to them. I imagine that these units would be pretty decent corporate investments for entertaining important clients. They need a complete package for baseball, football, and basketball to go with the loft.

I'll be pointing and laughing at all the poors in the general seating from my loft, surrounded by strippers, booze, and cocaine.

My thoughts are that Lounges need to go to highest bidders rather than current occupants. 2k doesn't come close to representing what the seats are worth.

The lofts are cool but in reality I would still prefer to watch a game from LFL. Then you consider 65k a year (50 plus the estimated 14,400 for cleaning and utility fees), and a 20k deposit. I will be surprised if they all sell at that price point. I hope I'm underestimating our wealth though.

Why? If you (as in fans) can't afford an increase for a simple chair back then you (as in fans) should not be a fan or supporter of our program.

ETA: Long story short, If you own a chair back and can afford the increase in price, but decide to forfeit the opportunity over a few hundred bucks, then that is sad.

What the frick?

The 20k deposit goes toward your 50k per year price. Just like with any other premium seats, you have to make a deposit and then you are free to pay off the remainder of your pledge for the rest of the year. Also, there is absolutely no way they are going to charge another 14.5k for cleaning and utility fees.

People are fricking freaking out and making shite up to make it sound way worse than it is. A common person cannot afford a loft, nor should they be priced so that they can.

Well that's just simply not true. Just because you can't afford premium seats does not mean you shouldn't be a fan or attend games.

This, quite possibly, could be the dumbest statement ever written on a message board, and that is saying something. I hope you were drunk when you wrote it.
