What New Business Does Your Town Need?

I'm thinking of opening up a storefront in a suburb of Houston. I have my reasons for needing to do this; I'm only in the opening stages of planning. What kind of goods and/or services does your town need and not have [enough of]? What do you routinely need that you have a tough time finding?

Nothing illegal! No drugs or prostitution! Not a liquor/beer store, either. And PROBABLY nothing on the fringes (like a head shop), unless you have a great idea for a Fortune 500 caliber head shop!

Are you going to give me a share of the profits for my idea?

The guy can't even spell Jordan.

Let's assume all his ideas are garbage.

Start your own and make sure not to make the egg benedict one with a sweet tasting waffle batter some how.

Waffles are cheap! And they look delicious. Not a bad idea.

That's the spirit. Thanks, Martyr.

Hmmm. That would be truly virgin territory for me. I've always driven my trucks stock until they fell apart. But it's probably not a bad idea. I know a guy who knows a guy who's made a lot selling that kind of thing on eBay.

Thanks.

Keep em coming, please!

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure that after the divorce I couldn't afford to GO TO a strip club.

Some sort of multi level marketing company where you hire people to sell an edgy health related product.

They opened one in The Woodlands, Tx and it had a pretty nice new interior design.

I like to eat at a Dairy Queen every now and again. There's nothing wrong with their burgers. They're as good as anyone else's. It just seems to have such a stigma down here. They used to be everywhere as we all know. They started hiring their managers from within, paying them peanuts, not training them. They all became filthy and altogether shitty with employees stealing the food and the money from the till. People here in Texas remember the decline more than the good times I fear.

Opening up a good old school Dairy Queen in a part of the U.S. that never had them could be a hell of an idea.

EDIT:

I'll tell you what's good. They have them in Dallas; I don't think I've seen one in Houston: Braum's. Are there Braum's in Houston, yet?
