I will probably get called a homer but I've got to go with Hunter Henry. I have a feeling that with the worst receivers in the sec, this could be a big year for him. Who y'all got ranked #2?

Best all-around TE is Henry. No question about it. However, Evan Ingram is the best hybrid TE. The both fit perfect in the respective schemes that they play in.

Evan Ingram is a beast in our scheme. Not your typical tight end, but he's a playmaker and really hard to defend.

Evan Ingram and it's not close.

Desean smith looked good against ND but we only complete 3 passes a game so...

I disagree. I'd rather have Henry. Ingram is really good though.

Best "true" tight end - Hunter Henry

Most productive tight end - Evan Engram

Athletic monster who won't produce during the season but will blow up at the NFL Combine and earn himself a bagillion dollars - OJ Howard

It SHOULD be OJ Howard, but he lacks the attitude.

Gotta agree with the "true" TE and "hybrid" distinctions.

Henry is a monster in Arky's system, but so too is Engram in ours. Can't go wrong with either of them.

I hate these threads. No matter what you think everyone is a straight homer.

I vote Desean Smith.

Then don't post in them.

Homer or not, there are three top tier TEs in the SEC this season: Engram, Henry, Howard.

The rest aren't elite.

Hunter Henry is by far the best, but OJ Howard has the potential to be better

No. Hasn't done enough in 1 year to earn him that title. Maybe he will be as a senior.

Henry will prolly get all the pub & honors, and deservedly so...One to watch this year is So. Jeb Blazevich for UGA. He only had 18 catches for 270yds & 2 td's last year as a true Fr., but new O.C. Brian Schottenheimer loves to pitch it to the TE...

Depends on how you want to use the TE. Henry is a perfect fit for our system, Engram has been incredibly effective for the Rebels.

To be honest the best tight end in the SEC might not make his presence felt until the season starts. Last year AJ Derby came out of nowhere to be a major factor in the Arkansas offense. There might be a kid out there waiting to have his breakout season.

Henry, Engram and Howard all have bright futures in the NFL ahead of them.
