Henry is the perfect example of a "safety blanket".

You're probably right about Treadwell.

Like mentioned above, I'm curious to see who breaks out at our H position this year. AJ Derby went from an unknown to a combine invite in just 10 games. Jeremy Sprinkle is the early favorite for the spot but my bet is one of our freshmen beats him out. Sprinkle just has hands of stone IMO.

Maybe y'all could try and be a little less physical in Oxford next year.

I haven't seen a Hugh Freeze team get straight-up mauled like that in, well, ever (to that point).

If Howard ever learns to block well and if Kiffin ever starts throwing to the TE, discussion over. Until then Henry and Ingram are tops.

One thing NFL scouts have to love about Henry is that he loves to block.

The funny thing is coming out of HS that was supposed to be his weakness because he played in an offense that didn't make him do it much, but he learned it extremely quickly.

Engram reminds me a little of our former TE Chris Gragg who is now with the bills. Similar body type but Engram has been more productive.

Great comparison. I think Gragg would have blown up his senior year if not for the crash and then his injuries.

Engram will make his money being just fast enough to get past NFL linebackers, IMO.

There's not a ton to learn about blocking. It's more about "want to", but IF he does get a little grit in his eye, he'll earn more playing time and you can bet your arse Kiffin will include him in his offense. Also, Alabama's going with an OL that's missing 3 of last year's starters, so a blocking TE is imperative!

Just fast enough for the NFL means millions of dollars to play with when you retire. I like Engram's chances at the next level. I think him and Henry should both do well.

Henry, Engram and Howard all have bright futures in the NFL ahead of them.

Howard doesn't unless he toughens up. His blocking in poor and he fights for a tough catch about as well as a 5'7'' receiver. Toughen up and he can be as good as he wants to be.

Off-topic, but who is the next great Pig RB after Collins and Williams leave?

Good question. It was supposed to be Korliss Marshall but that ship has now sailed. Bielema raves about Juan Day who will be a RS FR this year but he's a virtual unknown to outsiders and even our own fanbase because he was hurt for most of his senior year. So basically no one outside the program has seen him play in two years.

My guess is it will be Rawleigh Williams. A name I'm sure you're familiar with. He looks like the type of back that Bielema has had success with in the past. He keeps comparing his running style to Montee Ball.

RB#3 and TE are going to be my top two position battles to watch in the fall and spring because there is a very good chance that Williams, Collins and Henry are all gone after next year.

What position was Randy Ramsey slotted to play at?
What about Juan Day?

Ramsey should be our starting SLB this year. He looked raw last year but extremely athletic. He's probably my #1 player to watch on defense this spring. I think he could be a terror.

Juan Day is the unknown. Like I said, no one has really seen him play since early September of '13. Coach B raved on him all the time in the fall however when he was on the practice squad. He's a big back at 6'2 which is a little different than JWill and AC3. I imagine they'll have him up around 220 in the fall so if he clicks then he could be a terror in this system. I'm really rooting for the kid to get some touches because he's had a rough go of it the last two years.

I'm glad we have bigger backs toting the rock for us this fall compared to the Walton/Mathers experiment in 2014.

Good discussion today. Have a great Saturday

Will Ole Miss live off that win as long as Aggie has?
