Heard on the radio (cannot link to radio, sorry), that Hampton, the ref that made the bad call on Arkansas v Florida in the last 1.8 seconds has been banned by the SEC from calling Arkansas or Florida games in addition to Kentucky games. He went to school with Pelfry when Donovan was an assistant. I believe he made a questionable call against us the year before.

Why would they just not ban him from all sec games?

Something about when we play Florida with the refs. I remember when they suspended the whole football ref squad for a game when they handed the game to Florida.

A little early to be crying. By Saturday you may be in full meltdown. Step away from the keyboard... step away.

The only bad call made for Arkansas was letting you in our conference.

most overused and misused word on the rant.

a ref is banned by the SEC from working arkansas or florida games after making multiple questionable calls. how is it a melt to make a thread about it?

Comes off as pias. Every team gets bad calls at some point. Deal with it and move on.

I doubt it's because he's biased. He's probably just not a good ref.

i know what you mean, the refs cost UF 15 games this year....I think we should get rid of all refs and let the players call their own fouls.

it was the SEC's decision, not arkansas's. and the SEC is dealing with it.

it's fairly notable (and worthy of a thread) that a ref is banned from calling games with certain teams. how often does that happen?

Worked with an SEC ref when I lived in Nashville. He hated the Vols. Told me every time they were pinned deep in their own territory he would throw the hanky and call holding.

I don't think you actually understand the proper use of this phrase.

He and Pel were buds in college and are still today.

Pel is now back on Donovan's bench after having been coached by Billy D while at Kentucky.

So? It's quite easy to put that shite aside and be a professional for 2 hours.

Not for Hampton.

He has made questionable calls the past two years in the Florida games that proved to be the deciding factors in both games to Florida's favor.

He has also made questionable calls in Arkansas games in our favor when Pel was HC and against our favor since that have decided games.

He was already prohibited from reffing UK games due to a conflict of interest, that ban is being extended to Florida and Arkansas games.

When he is not busy selling insurance in Lexington, he will have to find more sunbelt and southland games to replace the SEC games he's prohibited from reffing.
