I was looking at these lists and wondering what went into making them.

For me

1. Budget
2. History
3. Recruiting base
4. Facilities
5. Fan support (not counting donations as that works into the budget)

That being said...

1. Bama
2. UF
3. LSU
4. A&M
5. UGA
6. UT
7. Auburn
8. Arkansas
9. South Carolina
10. Mizzou
11. Ole Miss
12. Miss St
13. Kentucky
14. Vandy

Top 3 are pretty set Id say. 4-7 would be pretty interchangeable. 8-11 is in the right order but the gap isn't very big. 12-14 is set

So history is your #2 most important factor, yet Arkansas is below South Carolina?

I'd love to hear your reasoning behind that.

I'm with you. Big state schools in prospect rich areas. No way ND is better than USC, Texas, UGA or Florida for recruiting alone.

In no way is Georgia a better job than lsu. Uga has to contend with ga tech and auburn for georgia talent.

History means very little. What did Bama's history do for them when they had shite coaches?

I think you have to add location to the list of variables.

4. Time off

Except LA leads per capita and we contend with no one in state.

You know what, I change my mind. I had looked at some budgets awhile ago and remembered them being much higher than they actually are. The latest thing I can find now shows them spending a bit more than Arkansas, but I'll give Arkansas the slight edge here.

Pretty close, you're right. Should have said 3-7 is pretty interchangeable. I feel like I have aTm too low as well.
