Me? Not so:
• I'm a right-brained person in a left-brained world.
• I'm a left-handed person in a right-handed world.
• I'm a Type B person in a Type A world.
• I'm an introvert in an extroverted world.
• I'm a Luddite in a technology-obsessed world.
• I'm a twisted frick to boot.

How about you? How comfortable, how at ease, are you in our little world?

Except for the Luddite reference, you and I could be twins.

I have residual schizophrenia.
I live in a foreign country.
My paper trail is almost nonexistent.
I have one person who I consider to be part of my family. (My mother.)
Few people I consider to be friends.

But, I do have a nice, easy-going job that I find to be fulfilling and special. So, I have that going for me.

It starts when you get confidence in yourself, and sort of snowballs later to the point you can rely solely on willpower.

First you have to change "I can't" to "I will", and then dig as deep as you possibly can.

Usually works better when someone's yelling at you, or another person's life is in danger.

No problem. I'm quite happy for anyone who is comfortable in the world around; I'm not especially envious of such people, and–believe what you will–I'm not sure I'd trade my situation for any other. The fact is, there are certain psychic compensations for being unable to integrate into society, and I accept them wholeheartedly.

I am a very adaptable being. I'm usually comfortable, but I don't leave things to chance.

I can handle almost anything. It's all a mind set. The only thing that might push me over the edge would be being stuck in a room full of those my little pony queens. Then I'm gonna choke a bitch out and throw things

Everyone that knows me would described me as mild-mannered. Used to think I was fricked up. In some ways I definitely am. But I definitely cope with day to day life better than most. I'm currently the closest to the real me than I've ever been. I have my bad days but most are good.

It took me a long time to realize that but when I did I felt much more comfortable with myself and others.

i would say i'm fairly well adjusted, but it's due to constant conditioning.

At my core, i'm a quiet loner. I truly like to be by myself and am happiest when i have nobody around me. Including my wife and kids. i'm moody, i like dark dreary days, and generally think the worst of people.

But... at the cost of losing my family almost once, i realized that it was super selfish and sad way to go through life and have decided to adjust.

So, most people when they hear that i actually am pretty antisocial are surprised because it's definitely not what i put out there on a regular basis. I wouldn't say that I'm living a lie or putting on a front, but that i just know that i can't love my kids, my wife, my friends, or anybody and be an example of Christ if i have the attitude and live my life the way i want.

fortunately, i now have a job that lets me stay alone in an office all day and spend hours alone in the car. that for the most part really gets it out of my system and helps me be better adjusted.
