Their best batter flies out to CF to end the top of the 5th. We got a little lucky there.

Nau singles.
Taylor singles. 2 on, 0 outs.
Melton grounds out. Runners to 2nd and 3rd. 1 out.
Gideon flies out to shallow LF. 2 outs.
Birk hits it right to 1B.

4-1 through 5.
I have to step out for a bit, sorry.

Has Martin pitched before? His name is not ringing a bell.

Simonds coming in. I was hoping to give him some rest.

Had to look it up. I recognize him but didn't realize how much he's actually pitched. Corbin Martin was making his 9th appearance today. He's mostly thrown a mop up inning on Tuesdays or early in the season I think he got a couple of weekend innings. He's thrown 8.1 IP coming into today

He's a fish so we'll have to see how he develops. I don't remember being all that impressed but I don't remember being impressed by Hendrix last year really and he's clearly made a huge leap

I was hoping for a 6 run bottom of the 8th. But I'll take the win. 36-5.

Thanks for the updates. I would say I owe you a beer, but I am up to a six pack by now on those vapor beers.

9th? Where the hell have I been?

36 feels good. Only 2 more for a perfect OOC.

I really really want to shite LSU the frick up this weekend. It's big obviously but remember even if we get swept it isn't the end of the world. The way we've kicked arse and taken names a major weekend loss still doesn't eliminate us from a national seed. That is what we're shooting for from the regular season.

Should be fun. Anxious to see how our pitching staff performs.

Ditto. I think we come through strong. This team wins. They come up big more often than not.

I think our formula is pitch decent and hit the ball. Hope we play well. It's still really early.

I'm not so sure. I think that postponed game and then subsequent collapse may have changed some things. The first sort of crack in the armor, so to speak. I just haven't seen dominance from our pitching or hitting really that makes me supremely confident moving forward. Either way, there isn't a better way to test yourself than playing a series at lsu. Looking forward to it, but I see us winning just one. Would be great to actually play three full games though.

Friday's game will now air on the SEC Alternate channel. I guess someone at ESPN just noticed it's #1 vs #2 and realized they were already airing games 1 and 3 so it might be smart to put game 2 on tv

New schedule

Thu at 6:30 on ESPNU
Fri at 7pm on SEC Alt (probably want to find this channel in advance...same as Lamar football game)
Sat at 2pm on ESPN
quote:

“Southeastern Conference fans are the beneficiaries of a quality content surplus in spring sports and this weekend’s one vs. two series is a prime example,” said Dan Margulis, ESPN senior director of programming, who recently discussed SEC Network viewing options on ESPN Front Row. “While Game 2 was not originally slated on the television schedule, the creation of SEC Network gives us the flexibility to find a platform to carry this game nationally.”
