Our 2013 WR class may have been biggest bust of a highly regarded group ever.

RSJ has been injured and not lived up to 5 star billing (yet)
Larue transferred and I think is a DB now.
Quiv gets little PT. The few times he has, drops were an issue.
JaQuay transferred. I guess it was PT, but haven't heard much about him since he left. I still partially blame him for Bama '13.
Parker now gone per BL.
Tabuyo gets little PT. However he seems relatively effective when he does play.

RSJ was just so raw when he came in. I'm expecting a breakout season next year. He showed flashes, especially early. But yes. Overall, the class looks to be a bust.

I still have faith in RSJ. I'm not counting him out at all, but if we look at results vs expectations, he is not there yet.

Sounds like Niederhofer is a lock for 2nd best in the class.

No other way to spin it than bust, though I still have hope for RSJ and Tabuyo. The disappointments weren't just at WR with Golden Miles Hill and Claiborne all in that class too. There's still a shot for some of those guys left to become really good players though

Looking at our 2013 class, it just keeps getting worse and worse. Comparing that list to our 2014 class is night and day.

I was just thinking that. The 14 class is what I expected that 13 class to be as well. That's just how it goes it guess, there's still a few guys in there like White, Walker, Washington and Hall who have shown promise. Hopefully some of those defensive guys who we haven't heard much from can emerge with Chief

Wasn't he thinking about transferring last year? Can't be too surprising.

yeah, lotta people had extremely high hopes for Kyrion but only 1 catch in 2 years so this can't be too surprising. I would have thought he'd want to start over with Moorehead but maybe they had a frank talk

I count four dismissals, five transfers, and two medical losses.

Jeez. You can't lose 11 guys completely in a class and expect good things.

We did take like 33 guys or something in that class, but it's still not good. Hopefully the 14 class can keep building on the promise it showed last year

That's not counting guys who still haven't cracked the two-deep like Manning, Wade, and Wiggins

EDIT: Shaan Washington might end up as best defender in that class

Looks to me like we've got room for some top-flight WR recruits.
Maybe grab some JC guys who'll come in and make an instant impact?
Go get em, coach.

Thinking about it Butch also had that Tenn class of mega-flops. Is this just maybe a "thing" when you are trying to revive a dead program- a class of highly regarded risks to artificially boost your recruiting rankings so you can get back in the public's eye?

I actually have a lot of hope for Kirk.

And Speedy cares more about winning than any kid who has worn maroon since Kevin maybe.

We have a pretty good track record so far with JC WRs between Walker and Reynolds, so hopefully Ratley can keep it going

That entire 2013 class has been a shite show really. I'm hoping that's what this ut class will be for them.

Kyrion Parker had a ton of semi-serious health issues that really set him back. I feel bad because he's got all the makings of a good receiver but setback after setback.... I can see how he felt like a stick in the mud when you consider everything.

His mom posted a pretty heartfelt message on 24/7 claiming he has no animosity towards A&M, or the staff, and for the most part just wants a clean slate somewhere now that for the time being is completely healthy.

Hopefully his career trends upward, I'll be rooting for the kid.

White looks like a good back.
Arnold has the injury bug, but I think he can still be good.
Hall is a nice DE.
Washington has a few nice moments. He needs to stay healthy.
Mastro has a chance to recover his career.
Davis had his moments at CB.

It is still too early to write off all these guys off.
