Yep definitely impressive stuff for sure.

Great move by Holbrook to have the runners moving there to bring in that 3rd run.

And why did we walk the guy before to pitch to Caldwell? Isn't he leading your team in most categories?

KMart's also one of the best hitters on the team. It's basically 1A & 1B imo.

Probably wanted to face the R/R matchup. Doesn't matter good game Mizzou.

Yepp. Good game man.

Gotta say, I'm loving just being able to see games. Love the SEC and love the SEC Network.

Deeply disappointed in what Holbrook has done the last few seasons. This is a very, very negative trend.

Good game Mizzou. You guys have an excellent 1-2 punch on the weekend rotation. You'll be in a lot of games with pitching like that. Congrats.

As far as Carolina..

If we can't hit good pitchers now, we're really gonna struggle once we get to the elite pitchers at Vandy/LSU/Florida.

I haven't seen a dramatic improvement in hitting later in the season the past few years so I have no reason to believe that our hitting will improve dramatically this year. We'll be competitive this year, but I have no reason to think that this year will be "special".. not by Carolina's standards.

PROVE ME WRONG.

I don't understand why we can't hit. It has been the story for the past several years

That's the thing.. it's not like we have bad hitters, it's that our approach is completely wrong. The top of our lineup is pretty comparable to the better hitting teams out there.

Carolina is trying to be a power team right now. We need to go back to playing like those national championship teams (line drives to the gaps).. we need to focus on becoming a team that singles/doubles you to death.

It's so annoying seeing good hitters like Martin and Destino get up to the plate, swing for the fences on the first pitch and hit a fly ball to center. Over and over and over. Our approach has been that way since Holbrook took over..

Granted, it's been a very limited sample size, but this. Early in the game, it seemed like y'all came with this approach. It seemed to me like once y'all got the lead, and Wynkoop was dealing, y'all put it into cruise control. Then, when Mizzou put a late surge on and ya had to kick it into gear again, y'all didn't go back to this approach and more were trying to yank it.

You-are-not-kidding.

This is totally unacceptable for Gamecock baseball. He needs to turn it around quickly before this gets totally out of hand.

It's not like Ray did not have a similar issue for a little while, but he made some changes and took decisive action to prevent it from getting out of hand.

Least we were able to salvage a win today and not get swept. Even with how bad we played this weekend we're only 1 game back in the SEC Overall & East standings.

Gotta bounce back this week with a midweek game at Coastal & then hosting UGA this weekend.

BSN is the Big South Network. It's their online/streaming in order to show their games.

Here's the link for tonight's game with CCU: LINK

Guess our guys don't know how to throw a fricking strike.

4 walks in the 4th so far, giving Coastal back the lead.

We seem to be losing a lot of 1 and 2 run games.

Tonight's game will resume at 4PM tomorrow afternoon.

Tied 5-5 going to the 9th.

Also, we're just not a very good team, as it stands right now it'd probably be a miracle if we host a regional.

We've had at least 40 wins every year since what? 1999 or 2000? That streak seems to be in real jeopardy. (then again I think Tanner required a post-season win or two to get to 40 a couple of times) but we have definitely been average at best this year.

Oh look we just lost another 1 run game in extras.

UGA takes G1 6-5 in 11.

G2 @ ~5:50ish
