You put Tebow on Auburn's 2010 team and Cam as the starter on Florida's 2008 team, Newton would still probably have better numbers

Newton WAS on Florida's 2008 team. Tebow is the reason Newton finished his career at a school not named Florida.

It's a close call, but I vote Tim Tebow.

And you're a homer.

Tebow

ETA: I give Tebow the nod due to his body of work as a whole.

He won a Heisman Trophy, and was a finalist again. He won a national championship as a starting quarterback and was a major contributor to another national championship team, in addition to leading his team to a 13-1 record his senior year with their only loss coming to an undefeated Alabama team. He was a 2X All-American, and certainly a better leader on the field.

Cam

ETA: He took a 9 win team and carried them to 14-0. Tebow took a 13 win team and went 13-1. I have all the respect in the world for Tebow as a college QB, but, in terms of talent, Cam is better.

i know. That's why I said make him the starter as opposed to "put him on Florida's team"

But it is fair to say '08 Newton =/= '10 Newton. I just think the 2010 Heisman Cam on Florida's 2008 team would've put up huge numbers. Tim Tebow on Auburn's 2010 squad?? Meh

Tebow's season in 07 was slightly worse than Cam's was in 2010. However, if you include the rest of their careers Tebow should win.

In terms of talent I would say Matt Stafford. In terms of achievement in college, Tebow no doubt.

Tebow in a close one.

I'd have Jamarcus Russell on the list too. He was a beast in college and should at least be an option here.

Definitely deserved to be discussed.

Probably took a program to the most unusual heights compared to their history of any QB the past 10 years.

33 wins in 3 years at Carolina is a huge outlier in their past 30 year history.

So he is up there.
