I'm with you....but not when it comes to the Quad and Kyle Field and the MSC--those changes were pretty good

I just hate the construction Hopefully it'll taper off soon.

Renovating

In all honesty, did it even need renovation? I remember when I took the tour in HS, the tour guide kept saying it was one of the newest and largest Rec centers in the state of Texas. They also had the largest indoor rock climbing facility (I spent some time at Baylor my junior year and they claimed to have taken the #1 spot...frick em).

frick it. I guess we rich then Renovate dat hoe.

That's the ol' SLC's claim to fame in Waco They purposefully built their climbing rock one whole foot higher just so they could brag about that shite

MSC

Sorry, I'm going to stop you there. Whoever designed the MSC completely butchered the building. I remember when I used to walk in, the building gave an aura of nostalgic feeling of the days of AMC. It was a building dedicated to heroes and it gave you an idea of how A&M used to be when it was "all in" as a military school. It was a real connection to the past and it always made me feel blessed to have the privilege to walk in the same halls that brave men and women also walked in.

Today, the MSC looks like a big modern building. Outside of the flag room, the building no longer looks like a place of remembrance. In all honestly, It looks like a shopping mall in some places.

Well. Who knows. Texas State and the University of Houston also make some similar claims.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that one. I really dug the renovation when I finally got to see it for myself.

1. I think they did a great job renovating the MSC. Perfect balance of new and old.

2. The rec was renovated because it was too small to meet the demand of 50k+. So many times I could go and wait to get on a machine, rack, court, etc. then you weave around people on the track. And finally have no where to sit after waiting for your food for 20 min. A&M huge and we need huge facilities.

Keep those renovations and new construction going dammit 2 of the companies that do a lot of the work are owned by members of my family
