How do you rank the conference now?

1. Kentucky
2. Arkansas
3. Georgia
4. Ole Miss
5. Tennessee
6. Florida
7. Alabama
8. LSU
9. USCe
10. Auburn
11. Texas A&M
12. Vanderbelt
13. Mizzou
14. Mississippi St

Edit: Just to clarify, this is my power rankings, not espn/cbs/etc.

Then you have just started watching Billy Kennedy basketball. I have LSU ranked that low BECAUSE they let a billy kennedy basketball team come to their house and beat them, otherwise LSU would be much higher.

Hoenstly, it's so terribly bad that after UK, it's just "take your pick".

Tennessee 11-5, Alabama 12-5, Alabama beats Tennessee by 18 on THEIR court.

Makes sense.

We have done absolutely nothing to prove that we belong ahead of anyone worth even half a shite, but this is still probably an accurate place to put us.

I don't discount florida. You have the only proven coach besides Coach Cal.

No, it's a lazy view by people like yourself.

Facts? The SEC has 8 teams — more than half the league — in the top 55 of the NCAA RPI. The league is fourth in conference RPI, ahead of the Big 10 and the Pac-12. Not counting Kentucky, it's got non-conference wins over Xavier, Iowa State, Butler, West Virginia, Seton Hall, SMU, Dayton, Oklahoma State, Cincinnati and Kansas State.

The narrative the past few years has been that the SEC is one of the weakest in the nation, and people that don't follow the sport all that closely just continue to take it as gospel this season when the conference is much better than it has been recently.

It's still inconsistent. It's still hard to watch at times because of the styles of play. But the SEC is much better this year and will get at least 5-6 teams in the Dance.

i'll believe it when i see it. i agree it does seem like the teams are better, but if teams like lsu and arkansas, who are supposed to have turned the corner, don't stop losing games like they did saturday, then the sec is not going to get more teams in than they have been the past few years. they have teams good enough to compete but they're going to have to earn it and not drop games they shouldn't with any sort of regularity.

And with the level of recruiting that teams like A&M lsu auburn and others are doing this year it seems we keep drastically improving.

SEC BBall outside of Kentucky is worthless this year. No point in even making a "power rankings" list.
