It would appear that it is another year of one of Bert's QBs makes it to the NFL. It is time thought to look back at that QB's career and see if Bert held both Russell Wilson and Wisconsin back from their true potential.

Wilson goes to two superbowls but can't even make it out of the Big10 unscathed. That is arguably worse than LSU last year not going undefeated with Mett, ODBjr, Landry, Hill, Turner, Collins, Blue and more.

How is that even possible when Russel Wilson had these stats

COMP % - 72.8%
Yards/Attempt - 10.3
Yards - 3175
TDs - 33
INT - 4
Rushing - 338
Rusing/Attempt - 4.3

RW did everything he should have done to win the Rose Bowl. Wisconsin defense just couldn't stop Oregon.

Also, they lost on the last play of the game to Michigan State and in the final seconds to Ohio State.

Lost to both Mich St on a Hail Mary and Ohio State on a long pass play in the last 30 seconds.

So you're saying bert can't win the close games? Even with a superbowl winning QB on his roster?

I'll always remember Russell Wilson getting stretchered out in his first game against South Carolina. Who would have known then that he'd go to two straight Super Bowls in his first few years in the league.

Just a wild guess, but...

...because the other 10 players weren't perfect, and it's a team sport?

If WISC defense would have been a bit better, (gave up a hail mary and a last second bomb TD for their 2 regular season losses) they would have been playing for the Natl Champ

Bert rode the rented mule all the way to a rose bowl loss. Premier coach.

That defense gave up 600+ yards to the ducks. It couldn't stop teams on the perimeter. Michigan State could run stretch run all day but abandoned it too early in the Big - 10 championship. Linebackers were huge and could stuff the middle but terrible sideline to sideline.

When you think about that offense with Montee Ball, Russell Wilson and a massive OL, it's not surprising he put up those numbers.
