I remember coach Jackie Sherrill accusing Auburn of inflating footballs with helium about 20 or so years ago. I found that to be more ridiculous than these accusations I read about this morning...seriously, what advantage does a team gain from deflating the ball, or inflating it with helium?

I would think a deflated ball is easier for a QB to grip.

Either way Indy was going to lose this game. Seems more like drunken accusations from Irsay than anything

OP is right about one thing. There are definitely some deflated balls in this thread. But it has a lot more to do with 55-44 than it does yesterday's playoff game.

That was Auburn All American punter Terry Daniel. I play golf with him often. Another fun fact for the thread: he is a huge bama fan.

Not mine.

It's a little difficult to rustle jimmies with the same jokes that have been used since The Great War.

...or perhaps Lane Kiffins track record over a considerable amount of time has proven him to be a shady person of low character. but that's just me. I cant speak for obsessed Tennessee and Auburn fans.

absolutely nothing....if anything using helium would decrease distance and height of kicks due to less inertia.
