If we can win on the road against Missouri tomorrow and then in South Carolina for the following game, I think things get interesting.

-Wins over 2 Ranked Top 25 teams/Top 20 RPI teams with in the past month.

-No bad losses. The worst being to Alabama -- The rest coming from VCU, Kansas, Marquette, and NC State

It'll be interesting to see how conference plays turns out

Vols are trending up and already have good wins against Butler and Arkansas.

Depends on who you talk to, their RPIForecast is still very very ugly.

Current SOS: 27
Current Record: 10-5

Tennessee and UCLA keep winning and Alabama's RPI will keep improving. A top 50 road win and a top 50 OOC win would be nice to have.

Correct. That is more so due to how bad they project us to be than any issue with our scheduling or results so far though. Keep in mind this time last month our Expected RPI was 190.

If we get to 12-6 in league play RPI Wizard gives us a 38 RPI and 38 SOS. 11-7 gives us a 45 RPI. 10-6 a 53 RPI.

I am thinking 11-7 with one win in the SECT gets it done.

Gonna have to win some road games, and other than @Mizzou they predict you to lose all the others which makes the @Mizzou and @SC games huuuuge.

You're going to for sure lose @Arkansas, @Florida, vs Kentucky IMO. I also think you will likely lose @Vandy, @LSU and probably @UGA.

The room for error is very small.

To me, this screams, I came from the same people who picked UT to finish 13th in conference play. That's not going to happen.

Have they started doing the NIT Bracketology yet?

Want to know who we will host in our first game.

LOL at RPIforecast. They've been wrong all year.

They've had Alabama predicted RPI hovering between 67 and 100 for the entire season.

Agreed. We need to hold serve at home other than UK. I went ahead and marked down @ Arky and @ UF as losses.

That would mean we need to beat Mizzou Saturday and then win 2 of South Carolina, UGA, Vandy, Ole Miss and LSU.

Doable imo but it will certainly be a challenge as limited as our roster is.

I think getting to the NIT would be a success with this team, but being included in a bracketology in mid-January is something I certainly never anticipated being possible.

We were also 10-5 at this point last year with Stokes and McRae and a full roster.

NIT would be overachieving with this bunch. Simply being shown in any NCAAT forecast just shows the miracle coaching job Donnie Knoxville has done thus far.

I still think we sneak into the tournament as a bubble team.
