Saw this question posed on a Tennessee board re: Pearl/Tyndall.

Obviously everyone with a half a brain would say Pearl has been better than Tyndall throughout his career and proven more but has Tyndall outcoached him this year with less talent?

Auburn has poor talent this year. We have no size. Most of our players are playing together for the first time this year.

Not a fair question, Pearl doesn't want to be at Auburn, he wishes that he was on Ole Rocky Top.

You just described Tennessee's team perfectly.

Our backup "center" for most of the year so far was a 6'5" walkon.

They are pretty close.

Both lack size, depth and multiple scoring options.

But yet you have tons of 6'8 guys and you don't have to play a center.

Unfortunately the center position is dying out in modern basketball.

Out of those "tons" of 6'8 guys, the heaviest is 210 lbs. That isn't much size at all. BTW, by "tons", you mean 3.

Ah yes. The rare but oft heated "my team sucks more than your team" thread.

Both teams suck but Bruce is bringing in top talent.

It's close but I don't think so. UT has tons of talent but it's not in the right spot due to roster issues. Auburn just looks lackadaisical at best and less talented across the board at worst.

Derp. This upcoming draft class has 4 or 5 elite level prospects at the position.

If any position is dying it is the back to the basket PF or the SG.

On the OP: I'd say they have relatively the same amount of talent. I'd say Tyndall has been more impressive given UT has more quality wins at the moment.

I think the ceiling is higher with Pearl going forward, but I also feel like the floor is lower if you get what I mean.

Tennessee has superior talent imo. Watched them both play.

Auburn doesn't have a Josh Richardson.
