Does CJM return UF to the top of the sec east? Anyone feel like they fricked up and could have done better? The gator fans are kind of flying under the radar.

I think they could have done better but they've never shot for the stars from what I remember. They hired a really good staff so I expect them to move up.

I think it's potentially a great hire. The risk with some of these unproven coaches is that they can bust like Muschamp. McElwain was successful at CSU, so he at least has some HC experience.

Best case: he revitalizes the offense and gets us to the SEC championship game every couple of years.

Worst case: see last 3 years.

Um, yall made a BCS bowl in 2012.

It could be WAY worse for yall than UF the last three years. Like Tenn the last three years worse.

I'm not convinced he's the right guy. Doesn't scare me as the fan of a team that plays UF every year.

I think it's a solid hire. They needed an offensive mind with they talent they have on O. Their defense has always been salty.

He's very shaky to get that kind of gig. Better than hiring Smart like some dumb school will do in the next five years, but that isn't saying much.

Solid hire? He will win at Florida. He turned around CSU and made them into a winner. This hire was huge for Florida. I want to say bad things about them but they know what they are doing.

He is a good coach. I don't like it. CSU has lots of talent headed to the draft and will get more players drafter than a few of the lower SEC schools. He can recruit and knows what he is doing. It might take a few years but Florida will compete under him

Not saying I don't think he can be successful, I just am not willing to say he'll win championships yet.

Solid hire, IMO. They needed to go with a coach that has an O philosophy.

^This. It looks more and more like there's a lot of dysfunction to clean up.

The offense just needs a little help and you will see a big improvement...OL is the biggest concern, more than QB...need help protecting whoever the QB is. Need WRs well disciplined to run routes for QB.

We have a turn over on coaches for the offense and that cant be bad.
