Curious. Who actually said we were getting an upgrade at dc? I know some guys were excited about getting rid of brickbhaley for ed oregeron because they felt e was better in recruiting and a more proven coach but thats it.

I'm not going to go digging, but around the time Chief was hired a large number of Tiger posters said this was a blessing in disguise because they were going to get an upgrade at DC.

We don't know yet, but maybe. Any other questions?

i think its a win/win to be honest. Either we will get an upgrade at DC and our D will continue to be good. Or we wont and it will likely expedite Miles out of town. Main reason why i really have zero stress over the hire.

I can actually get behind that logic.

It's a terrible way to think but I can at least understand it.

If we do, great

If we don't then it just speeds up the process of Miles leaving

Well as of today yes. We are - reason being - there is no DC at LSU right now - so hiring a DC will in fact be an upgrade.

As in an upgrade from the previous DC - who knows. To honestly answer this question I have to point out the rumors of Alleva holding the checkbook tightly, and the lack of offensive output causing Chavis to leave - those are not exactly two things that would make you think you are getting an upgrade.

Alleva is completely fricking up that program.

We will not know until the product has hit the field. We have moved on in our pursuit of another DC...maybe you should move on too and be happy with the one you have.

Excellent point - but I think key is to get Orgeron on board so the team is talent rich for whoever gets the job after Lester

I seent it. Some guy named Pendergast was a lock to be LSU's next DC. He was a definite upgrade over Chief.

Nope. I think we will airball this hire and lose the one thing that made this team any good.
