And McGarity will once again wow us with his PR skills.

Why you think he has been giving interviews to the AJC every day lately? He wants everyone pissed at CMR and ignoring his hamhanded handling of everything from the Gurley situation to not even trying to retain Bobo. Maybe he wanted to be an OC, but I'll need to see the numbers on the CSU deal before I believe we could not offer him enough to dissuade him from moving on just yet.

Already seen that, dallas, but we'll see long that lasts. I hope it does, but this is recruiting and I have my doubts.

The main thing is it seems like he's at least going to give the new OC a chance

Eason wanted to come to UGA for the programs we offer also, which, if memory serves, was not a viable field of study on the west coast, as no school offered it. I believe he comes to UGA anyway. Bobo will do good at CSU, but we will still recruit really well.

Look for us to go after the U's of coordinator. Miami should be concerned.

Change the names, and wasn't that one of the major plot points of Jerry Maguire?

what a bunch of pussies. Eason is coming to UGA...kudos to posters above who withheld judgment until Eason family spoke on subject...and Eason educational requirements.

Richt needs to call up his brother-in-law, Brad Johnson, and be all like "Hey, Bro! Come coach QB's and slay a bunch of college aged pussy!"

"Our stance is that Jacob has developed a great relationship with coach Richt and we trust him to hire the right guy," Tony Eason said. "We'll wait to see who that is and we're going to give them the benefit of the doubt. It's not just one person that got Jacob to Georgia"

quote:

"If they're going to change philosophies and do something totally different on offense (there would be concern) but I don't see that happening," Tony Eason said. "We'll wait to see who they get. We're not panicking."

Obviously this whole situation isn't good, by any stretch, but at least it looks like disaster is avoided for now.

This is such a relief. Not that I feel like Eason is 100%, but it puts pressure on UGA to make a solid choice. I have been on Richt's side but if he can't get a solid offensive mind to take Bobo's spot, I don't think Richt is good enough on his own.
