Richard Pitino?
Michael White?

Who do you want to see here?

Got nothing to lose by finding out at this point. He may not be better than Grant. (after all we did manage to downgrade from Gottfired) But we have to find out.

I don't keep up with basketball so, I'm just trying to get a feel for who's out there.

Gotcha. White and Pitino would be logical names. Ben Howland needs a job, but the sketchy SI article on his program a couple of years ago, means we almost certainly won't give him one.

Howland was the coach at UCLA?

Just looked him. Seems a lot of schools avoided even talking to him last year.

I don't care if we get a POS coach, as long as we start winning. Only losers brag about losing with dignity.

Losing is losing.

Support was really good a few years ago, not great. It has dwindled each year and rightfully so tbh.

Yeah, too bad. He could have had an immediate impact at Bama with the athletes they have, instead of being in struggle town at Auburn. Oh well.

THIS.

Alabama isn't anyone's dream job, so make it someone's dream job by opening up the checkbook and stroking some extra zeros. With that being said, I like the idea of Ben Howland, Michael White, Leon Rice, Billy Donlon (Wright State) and Bobby Hurley.

If Battle keeps Grant for one more year, I'm going to get my pitch forks and torches.

Well, to look at the positives, I couldn't see why a coach WOULDN'T want to come here. We certainly give the coaches plenty of slack when it comes to losing and putting up sub par teams year in and year out. No pressure here. Plus we pay handsomely for the efforts.
