Please take this moment to lol at Alabama. It is well deserved. I know you all take joy in doing so.

leaving VCU he could have gone anywhere. Billy Donovan Assistant from his time at Fla. He looked like a can't miss hire. Can't really fault anyone with paying him at the time. It's been a surprise he hasn't done more though.

In year 4 it was a surprise. In year 6? It's expected.

I say we give him just 4 more years, if he hasn't gotten it done by then, we may need to start looking at other options,

Laugh if you want to, but I think AG is one of the best coaches in the SEC.
I think he has UA in the tourney this year.

If not he needs to GTFO.

From 1973 or so to around 2000, Alabama had a legit top 20 (maybe even 15) program in basketball.
Firing Wimp set the program back.

Bama is already out of the tourney.

I think you're confused about who we're talking about here.

On the upside at least Bama has shown the willingness to pay for a basketball coach. It's unfortunate Grant didn't pan out but it happens.

In one post you disqualified yourself as a reliable witness in this trial. Back to work.

We won't have enough quality wins. We'll need to win the SEC tourney, and I can't see anyone but UK doing that, especially with their depth and the fact that the games in Nashville will basically be home games for them.

Anthony Grant's team always play great defense. He strikes me is laughing all the way to the bank

Wait until league play starts. An average team will be able to make noise in the SEC this year.

So we lose to two top 15 programs on the road and we're already out of the tournament? Gotta love Alabama basketball fans.

I really haven't watched much BAMA b-ball since Mark left. It's too frustrating. Especially having grown up watching Wimp's teams, and BAMA actually being relevant in b-ball.
I did watch last nights game though. I don't think BAMA fans are simply complaining that he's lost to a couple of top 15 teams. It's the seasons of underachieving (even though he is paid soooooo much money), and the lack of any noticeable improvement.
For me an additional frustration is how we lost the game last night. That game was BAMA's to win. Grant was simply out-coached in the last 5 mins of that game. Should have *and could have* been a "turnaround" type win for BAMA. Instead it's just another example of Grant not getting the job done.
