Runner-up.
Gordon didn't show up in the biggest game of the year and his record was broken a week later. He finishes third.
MM had a Heisman-worthy game in their title game. He didn't have a no-show this year and is a QB. He wins in a landslide.

And none deserved the actual award

I still see Gordon getting 2nd, there's way too much anti-SEC sentiment out there.
Whatever, nobody remembers anybody but the winner anyway.

Cooper is the best player in the country, if we're being honest.
Suh deserved the award in 2009. No question.
But seeing as they never give the award to defensive players, and Ingram was the best offensive player that season, I was cool with it.
ETA: T-Rich deserved an invite. McCarron did not.

If the stats of Ingram and the player you contend did deserve it were swapped you would say the same thing.

Gordon might very well get 2nd, but I think Coop is too likable to receive tons of anti-SEC voting.

i would of voted for Cooper
Bama would be watching TOSU,Baylor,FSU, and Oregon in playoffs, if it wasn't for Cooper
Oregon has a system, they would win w/o mariotta, and will be in contention for pac12 when he;'s gone next year.

Hope your wr wins the award

It would be hard to vote against Mariota, though.

When a players entire Heisman campaign is that the school he played for never has had a player win it then you know he doesn't deserve it. He didn't even lead his conference in rushing.

Disagree

I saw someone in another thread make a good argument for Amari Cooper, but yes, you are right, would still be difficult to vote against Mariota. I think if Cooper also returned kickoffs or punts like Howard did for Michigan, it would have been difficult not to give him the award this season

Probably 3rd
It's hard for a WR to win that award.

How many collegiate football players in the country?
3rd is not bad if that is where he finishes
3rd is not bad if that is where he finishes

10 more touchdowns, 300 yards and Coop would've won it.

congrats on ALMOST winning three times.
