His back surgery was really serious. He won't be able to do anything until August.

He wont' even be able to lift weights until the summer or so. He has a very tought road ahead. I'd be shocked if he isn't on meidcal RS next year too

Had surgery on the disc above my L5 while in the Marine Corps took me a year before I could even start PTing again another 6 months after that to get my arse back into shape

Not that I ever would or could have played football at a high level, but I know my lower back surgery (lumbar vertebrae fusions) put the kibosh on me doing a lot of NORMAL things, much less athletics at a high level. (Much less my fused neck vertebrae.)
It sucks. I hope its not true. But, if it is, I wish the best for him in earning his degree and making his future outside of football.
