I was discussing with one of your posters yesterday (can't remember who) on the SECR about quarterback and it got me thinking. Can you give me a rundown of what opponents can expect to see from UGA next year? Here's what I know, which isn't much:

-As mentioned, one of your posters said you have a young QB with a pretty good upside (I believe he said somewhere between a mason and a murray) with not a ton of experience yet
-Good OL this year, don't know who comes back
-Lose some good WRs
-RB should be outstanding
-Lose all the linebackers

Is that correct? Despite this year's anomaly in jax (and yes, that's what it was), I still expect UGA to have a formidable team next year. Any insight would be appreciated!

lose all the inside LBs
could have 4 of 5 back on the OL if Houston gets a 6th year

Interesting. What is the situation with getting a 6th year, is he a medical redshirt?

QB will be a little shaky but Ramsey has talent and an arm. His decision making, in games this year, was definitely questionable, but he should be pretty good.

O-line will be good but they're losing their leader in Andrews. Other than that we return good experience.

Yea, wr is going to take a hit and it's going to take a bit to get new guys up to speed but we have one of the best WR classes ever coming in.

ILB is going to be a huge question mark. It will be interesting to see who we plug in there.

NCAA ruled him ineligible for the first few years due to an illegal substance that was still in his system from a high school surgery.

QB is an unknown. Should be a talent upgrade but you really don't know until the games start.

RB will be excellent. FBs also return.

WR - Mitchell should be back along with Davis, McKenzie, JSW, Williams, Hegedus, and a very good recruiting class. Should be good, maybe with some growing pains.

TE will be really good.

OL should be very good with 4 starters likely returning. Andrews could be missed. Talent is there but his leadership was invaluable.

DL loses a lot. Great recruits incoming. Will be a talent upgrade but will probably struggle some, especially early on.

LBs - waiting on draft decisions of Floyd and Jenkins, Carter returns, ILB is a big unknown, at least one newcomer will start imo

DBs- lose Swann, but should be at least solid depending on how the recruiting class fills out. Not deep at all though, so injuries would be potentially devastating.

That is a pretty big gap, so I guess its accurate. To be honest though, I'm not sure anyone knows what kind of QB Brice Ramsey will be. He has the tools and measurables, but his decision making has been pretty poor in mop-up duty.

I look for our offense to be similiar to this year. Run heavy with PA and quick passes to play-makers in space.

Good OL this year, don't know who comes back

Lose our Center who could have been called our MVP this year, so that will hurt. Return both guards and maybe both tackles. Currently trying to get a 6th year for our RT Houston who was the steroid guy and missed like 3 years of eligibility. Should be a strong unit again next year though.

-Lose some good WRs

Yep, good possession types too who would have helped a new QB. Mitchell, our most explosive guy, is coming back and we have a good recruiting class of WR coming in so hopefully they'll be able to make an impact.

-RB should be outstanding

Yup

-Lose all the linebackers

Lose our ILB Wilson and Herrera, but Floyd and Jenkins are coming back. Our back-up ILB look like they will be more athletic than Wilson and Herrera who were bigger body types...That could hurt us in the run game, we'll have to see.

D-line worries me the most though. Losing some folks and not sure who we have to back them up.

Overall, should be a decent team, another 9-3 type season in prep for what should a great 2016.

Ramsey has a cannon for an arm (reportedly stronger than Murray's, which means much stronger than Mason's), but it has been an adjustment period for him because of the offense he was in at Camden County. Brimming with talent, but very raw. I expect to see some flashes of monster potential along with some horrible Stafford-esque freshman mistakes. Bobo is a wonderful QB coach and will maximize Ramsey's talent, although Ramsey could be keeping the seat warm for super recruit Jacob Eason, who will arrive in 2016.

Should get four starters back. If we can find an adequate replacement for C David Andrews (and that'll be a MASSIVE loss, make no mistake) this will be among the best lines in the league.

Lose some good WRs

Losing Bennett and Conley will really hurt, but getting Mitchell back after what will hopefully be a healthy offseason will be huge. Here's hoping Scott-Wesley gets it together. I also believe Keith Marshall should be moved to WR but it won't happen. Could be some big time impact freshmen here as well.

-RB should be outstanding

Chubb is a beast. Needs no explanation. I'm curious to see the role Sony Michel has in the offense next season. Earlier this year before he was injured, Bobo had him lined up all over the field (most notably on the first TD vs S Carolina, a wonderfully designed play). Michel could and should play the Reggie Bush role in this offense, although he probably won't be nearly as good as Bush was at USC.

Lose all the linebackers

Lose the inside guys in Herrera and Wilson, which will sting. But the rumor is that Floyd and Jenkins will return to terrorize QBs from the outside, along with Lorenzo Carter. Pass rush won't be a problem. Replacing those two inside guys will take some time.

This will be another Jekyll and Hyde UGA team, much like the 2014 version. Some days you'll get a team who is capable of boatracing Missouri and Auburn, and other days you'll get a team capable of losing to Florida, SC and GT.

how does that even happen? Can he not take legal action for that? That's a pretty serious transgression for someone that (presumably) has missed out on improving his stock at a pro career.

Both those guys didn't have the best of years IMO...thought they were more productive in '13

Not so sure their losses will hurt all that much.

Reggie Carter is almost a lock to get one of those inside spots. I really hope Kimbrough gets up to speed on the playbook because that dude just demolishes people on kick returns. He hit that kid from Missouri into next week. Tattooed a returner from Clemson too.

They weren't on the field as much. You could argue they were more productive since they actually got offenses off the field.

Well other than Florida.

Everyone assumes he is going to start. It very well could be Park, he looked solid at the G day game this year. More so than Ramsey.
