and the whole basis for that was saying that us losing beaty would be too much even though Christian himself said it didn't matter and that beaty wasn't his lead recruiter. not that it matters, really looks like he is going to ASU

Ag lock, just trying to throw people off the scent for his announcement. He's already got an apartment lined up.

I'm hearing that if he plays in the SEC, it's all A&M. The Auburn thing is just formalities at the moment. And Beaty leaving is meh, as Spav was the one recruiting him.

There has to be something to it if Auburn reports it and then another site reports the same thing.

It is comical that the Aggies are in denial about their recruiting success coming to an end. I never understood what you accomplished to become such a recruiting force in the first place. Auburn has had far more success on the field in recent years and we have had only 1 top 5 recruiting class in rivals and 247 since they started

is there something to him favoring ASU? of course, that's probably where he ends up. I just don't agree with the thought that we have fallen out completely

Sounds like he's joking, but I think Davis believes Kirk is going to be an Aggie.

The State of Alabama is not a recruiting power. The State of Texas is.

Now you just sound mad because Kirk is leaning A&M over Auburn.

Sucks for us. If only we were larger, had a bigger and better stadium and facilities, and played in the SEC then we would have a chance against almighty Texas. I mean Strong keeps winning all those head to heads against Sumlin, you know like....well give me a minute I am sure I will think of one.

Being little brother in Texas is not the same as being little brother in Bama.

Being little brother in Texas is historically worse. Oklahoma and LSU were getting more highly regarded recruits out of the state than A&M was up until 2 or 3 years ago. A&M also has to depend on the SEC being perceived as the best conference because it gives them a selling point over the Big 12 Texas schools.

Auburn doesn't have to depend on selling conference success. We can point to our own conference and national chamionships that we have played for and won in recent years. Of couse I know you have a hard time relating to that as a Georgia fan

Looks like it's really working on the recruiting trail.

Can you take your pointless pissing contest to the rant. Lets try to keep it about what is important and that is Kirk picking A&M.

They certainly can't sell a winning record vs. A&M, especially not in Kyle Field East.
