Only why they move to #1 is if FSU moves to #3.

All the teams in the playoff will be ranked so that they get the best regional matchups in the semi-final games.

Depends on how FSU and BAMA look.
If bama looks great and FSU derpy, ranking stay same.
Basically, they're going to get a bama vs FSU matchup in the first round if both win tomorrow. Be it 1 vs 4 or 2 vs 3
And either way the game is in New Orleans so it really doesn't matter

I think they do. FSU still has much more talent than them and I think they'll actually play up to that tomorrow.

Also, I don't think the FSU ranking is because of Bowl Matchups. I think it's because they want the ability to drop FSU from the Top 4 if they lose.
Jeff Long and the committee know all of the real bullshite that is going on with Crablegs and all the coverup/violations at FSU.
They ranked FSU 4th so they can not include them. They're trying their best to distance themselves as far from that shite as possible. They know the suspensions/NCAA violations that will come out the next 2-3 years.

I'm thinking this. The seeding will be more about matchups than anything.
The two big money matchups would be Bama vs FSU and Bama vs Oregon.
With how FSU is playing, they may not win a semi to play Bama in the finals. With how Oregon is playing, you'd almost be able to guarantee it.
Let Bama play FSU in NOLA, Oregon plays whoever in Pasadena. Bama v Oregon for all the marbles.
