fricking ridiculous. Not even the uber conservatives on this board can defend this one.

Yeah, I cant defend this one. That was clearly excessive and unneeded, especially over something as trivial as illegal distribution of tobacco.

the fact this sort of thing has become a left/right issue is baffling. Almost like "Welp, THEY all think this, and they're assholes, so I'm going to argue the opposite"
it is possible to be on one side in one case and other side for another based off the facts.
Not "I defended the cop last time, gotta do it again"
Also frick you

Yep
The Ferguson shooting clearly seems justified based on the physical evidence. This case clearly seems like an excessive use of force. No need to play political games with either situation.

You're right. But it's become so right and left I was covering the angle before it even came up

This is nothing like Ferguson. Putting an illegal choke hold on a man that size and sitting on him? He deserves to be locked up with the general population.

Please tell me this is shopped!!!
And yes, this case seems very different from Ferguson, and I'm shocked the GJ didn't indict in this case. It seems completely egregious.

Not defensible. Cop should be charged with manslaughter.

I think it's bullshite this case wasn't taken to trial. It is controversial enough to warrant a trial imo. Maybe there is some facts/evidence not released yet but from what I've seen it was excessive force and the entirely unnecessary

I personally am surprised that this guy wasn't indited on manslaughter. If the choke hold was illegal, and it was an indirect cause of death, its kinda hard to argue that.
As far as Michael Brown goes, robbing a convenient store, assaulting a clerk, walking down the middle of the road when told not to, and attacking a cop. I mean, really, no really. Maybe the real lesson here is to use the sidewalk. This guys family is even more of an embarrassment.
The Michael Brown story is telling in more ways than just himself and Bryan Wilson. It exposes what these types of communities in this country are really like. Just like when Katrina hit New Orleans, I hadn't been to Nola yet and had no idea it was like a third world country. I was baffled when watching the news during the aftermath of the storm. Had I been a New Orleans resident and decided to ride the storm out, I wouldn't have sat in the Super Dome while people were crapping in pissing where they sleep, raping woman, complaining, and being worthless. I would have grabbed a few waters, and hiked and swam my way out. This society of people who claim to be victims, are entitled and worthless, and it absolutely sickens me.

My mother was telling me about this the other day, to me it's confusing the lack of outrage about this and the abundance of outrage about that tPOS Michael Doo Doo Brown

I agree. In the NY case it's obvious the cop, Pantaleo, used a banned restraint that led to Garman's death. All of the officers present should be punished for not responding to his statement that he couldn't breathe and then doing nothing to attempt saving him when he stopped breathing.

Exactly. This dude dies because the cop's an ahole and Brown dies because he's an ahole and the nation goes nuts over the ahole dying.
Don't get it.
I'm a Conservative that thinks juries got it right in Ferguson and Trayvon cases and fubared this one, if that's worth anything.
