Pretty crazy. How does one drop off (one side of the ball) so substantially while still recruiting nearly the same type of players.

Where did you find total offense rankings from the Muschamp years not in the 100's?

I never thought I would see anything close to that pitiful an offense at UF. With the skill players we recruit it should be nearly impossible.

That's pretty great decline. Tubb's last defense was the last decent one we had.

How boring would it be watching UF's O vs. AU's D?

Can you list AU's rise in offense during that same time period?

Because Tubs could field a defense with the best of 'em, but he had serious offensive issues at the end of his tenure.

It takes a really good coach that can find balance in his program that can field teams that consistantly compete for championships.

I see that. It's what happens when a coordinator makes head coach and puts all emphasis on his true passion... I would guess this is a major contributioj to this phenom.

It's funny, my default mental image of Auburn is still "tough as nails defense". Unblockable Tracy Rocker. Savage LBs (Spikes, Bruce, etc) decapitating RBs. I haven't wrapped my head around this new era of AU defensive incompetence.

Both are equally confusing. Gene Chizik keep in mind WAS our DC the year we had #1 D in the nation. It's perplexing.
