A) RB
B) WR
C) FS/BS
D) other

I'll say it. While I think he would be a great running back under Gus Malzahn, I think I would prefer him to play wide receiver or safety. He's such a great athlete, he could play any of the three...but I think it would help the team more if he was at wide receiver or safety. We can land pretty much any running back we want, but it's harder for Auburn to land a safety or wide receiver of his caliber.

What does the Auburn Sports Board think?

I think he'd be great as a slot guy. You could use him in a lot of the motions and still give him some touches in the running game. Motion him into the backfield for some two back type sets. I could see him being pretty dangerous in that kind of role.

That being said, if he can play safery we could use all the help we can get back there.

When you see his plays at wide receiver and safety, you'll see what I mean. He's surprisingly a really crisp route runner and has major vertical jumping ability for someone around 6 foot tall.

If we still plan to save Carlson's leg next season can't hurt to try it out.

I think he'd make a beast of a safety.

But ultimately, let the kid play where he feels like he'll contribute the best. Putting him in the backfield won't do much good if he transfers out to get PT at RB.

Whatever position he would be able to make the most impact act as a freshmen, prolly RB. But if he's as good as advertised then maybe RB and some set plays from slot receiver. Can he return punts/kickoffs?

At first I would have said safety, but then I watched his film and the kid is a RB. Very smooth runner and good in open space. Could be a nightmare out of the backfield on screens and check-downs.

Wherever he wants.

I think he would benefit the team more at safety, but the kid is an elite offensive weapon and unless we have an equal on the team then you keep him on offense.
