and it's doubtful that it changes as long as Miles/Saban are where they are.

Yes, some seasons will be more difficult than others but in reality these two teams are built differently than almost every team.

LSU and Bama have similar defenses. Unfortunately for them, they both struggle with a fast, play-making dual-threat QB.

Most teams do struggle with these gimmicky fast playing offenses. This too shall pass.

Auburn put up 41 on LSU.

auburn might score 17 on LSU today. They have been exposed in recent games.

All signs point to Marshall running wild Saturday. Lucky for Bama AU's defense is dogshit and they can probably win a shootout.

Book it...the whole of Lee County will be on suicide watch after the Iron Bowl.

Not quite an accurate description of Jennings.

We could've easily lost 3 games by now.

Yea, could've, but you didn't and found a way to win, which is what good teams do.

You can't say Bama is anywhere near down, they are probably in the playoff.

We are 8-4, with a 4-4 conference record.

2 vastly different types of "down".

Maybe down is not the correct word, but Alabama is not as good as it has been in recent years.

Still damn good though. If Auburn gets a defense, I hope we can claw our way up there as well.

Bama is the best team in the conference.

LSU is not.

What else is there to discuss?

IMHO, LSU 2014 on the field is basically a worried, insecure version of Alabama 2014. Very similar talent and styles, but they don't really BELIEVE they deserve to win. And they lack the maturity to show up every week, and I think allow themselves to lose games before the bus ever leaves campus. This Bama team isn't very good either Imho, but they don't concede anything. It's more a difference in psychology than anything else. Bama looks around and says "why not us" and LSU looks around and says "We don't deserve success". Hopefully that changes in 2015 and this team grows up and takes charge of their destiny.

It's nice to be able to agree with this knowing that Bama could also be the best team in the country.

If LSU can develop Harris this offseason, and some lineman step up, they could easily be a top 10 team next year with the amount of talent returning at skill positions.

And bama is still bama. Water is wet.

LSU hasn't really run shite in recent years considering they haven't won a national title since their lucky, fluke run in 2007 and they have only won one SEC championship since that time.

Isn't this what I said in the OP only worded differently?
