I agree EJ > Cyrus, but honestly both are playing at a really high level right now. Neither is playing like an All American, but they're both playing good. EJ especially considering he's probably still not 100%.

The most frustrating thing about Cyrus is that there are a number of plays that he could easily break up if he would get his frickin head around and look for and make a play on the ball but he just tries to face guard.

Cyrus just gets more passes thrown his way. I think he has a future in the league.

Same here. His size is a limitation when it comes to the big WRs, but he still does a good job of sticking to them, and once he gets that head turned, he'll make even more plays against them.

I don't think Cyrus is Dre K or Dee Milliner. I think EJ and TB have that type of potential. I see Cyrus as maybe a Kareem or Javi in terms of coverage.

EJ hasn't been able to stay healthy, so he hasn't been the best guy all season. He is the one that Tony Brown has had to come in and replace.

Cyrus has done a pretty good job all season and has been the #1 CB, even Saban has said so.

A healthy EJ may be another story(hope so).

Cyrus has been solid this year. He's going to have his hands full Saturday though with AU's big receivers.

If Cyrus would get his head around more QBs would no longer pick on him. He's pretty much always in good position.

No, they are just people who watch the games objectively.

Im not sure what your problem with CJ is. You've hated him irrationally for 2 years. Now you cant admit that you are wrong.

Agreed...that pretty much describes Javier Arenas to at T...smart, knew the system, and always seemed to be in good position...he was a great CB here, despite not having elite speed...what surprised me even more, was how great a punt returner he was as well...

Arenas was great...but he had 4.6 40 speed, and I think I'm safe in saying that's not considered elite speed for either a CB or punt returner...

He likes to act like he is the smartest guy on the board, but the guy is a total 5 star fanboy. Lets star gazing get in the way of rationale.

Actually I think Cyrus had a higher star rating coming out of high school

Cyrus is obviously the best option or he would not be out there.

But IMO, he is very weak.

He always seems to be in good to great position but rarely does he even make an attempt to locate the ball and ends up giving up completions even when in decent position.

And Saban's system leaves these guys on an island so any corner is going to give up plays from time to time.

But I will be happy once we have a corner that makes an attempt to locate the ball...maybe he learns...maybe somebody else takes his spot...either way I would be happy.

Then who? He was a 4, EJ was a 4, TB was a 5.
