Are you Auburn fans feeling it now, a little bit about what SCAR fans were saying about Johnson?

Is he really such a great DC?

Brad Lawing, now at Florida, was the key guy on the Gamecock staff for SCAR under Johnson, as evidenced when Lawing left us to go to Florida while running away from an ex-wife and girlfriend.

Whoever comes out of all of this mess with Lawing is going to be the big winner in all of this.

Johnson is not a big time DC.

They've looked a lot like A&M on the defensive side.

Ellis Johnson as any type of coach should have taken a big hit after him being Head Coach of Southern Miss winless season. Auburn was crazy for hiring him.

Could be just as well the other way around. Garner is the only position coach whose players have done as good or better than expected. No DC can have a good defense without a good staff. With that said he still should go. The Defense is going backwards.

I really don't know that it is all on EJ. We have serious personnel issues on D. The quitting thing might be coaching, but these are the same guys who quit in 2012. Under Gus and EJ they haven't quit up until last night so we'll hope it isn't a trend.

"Y'all" didn't. One or two of our emotional unknowledgable fans may have - I dunno. I can't remember anyone around here pining for EJ. Most of those I know around here - I'm speaking from a personal perspective - wouldn't let him come back if he came for free.

EJ always got burned by offenses who did one thing particularly well - beit running the ball or, especially, throwing the ball. If they were good at one thing he couldn't stop'em.

Brad Lawing can coach a DLine though, and recruit. He's the key to everything. I wish he could return here but, unfortunately, I do not believe he can or will.

I'm almost betting than Florida will retain him and make it a deal with the new HC that he stays-on down there.

I think USCe may have sent him as a Manchurian candidate as Karma for not beating Auburn 1933. It nearly worked this season too. Thank God we are seeing through your diabolical plan now while the streak is still alive.

Defense will never be good with Gus' offense.

Chizik knew that.

We don't even Hurry Up anymore. Defenses isn't good because we are deficient in some key areas from a talent perspective. They also quit. The quitting part is the big difference between last year and this year.

We do Hurry Up, just not to snap the ball. That's never been the point of hurry up. You hurry up to lineup. That's why anybody saying we can't have a good D with Gus's offense is stupid.

Last season and in seasons past we have hurried up more to snap the ball. Gus used to say his goal was some silly number like 90 plays. The extra snaps were largely the reason we ran over teams late last year.

I think a lot of tFlagshippers were let out of jail last night after the victory.

I saw Lat somewhere around here last night for the first time in months as well.

He may be the problem, but I see the players in position to make plays behind or at the LOS and they miss the tackle. I see it over and over again. Do we not have players good enough playing in his system? It may be both, but someone else will need to make the decision.

I know that it is frustrating as hell to watch.
