I know they say cameras with detachable lenses aren't allowed. I'm assuming that's to keep people from bringing big telephotos in instead of getting media passes.

I want to bring my DSLR but don't feel like getting told at the gate that I can't bring it in. No telephoto or anything. Anyone else bring their Canon, Nikon, etc to games without trouble?

Not sure but I wouldn't risk it. Don't think I've seen many nice cameras brought in. Lotta disposables & cell phones but not many nice cameras. It would suck to hafta walk back to the car to put up your camera... But maybe someone knows better than I...Good Luck...

Thanks that's what I was afraid of. And the walk back is exactly what I wanted to avoid.

Yea the lens isn't huge (just a 24-105). It'd mostly be so I can carry it around during the day too and maybe get some shots at the game (during breaks, I'll be too busy yelling otherwise ). More atmosphere type stuff, not telephoto of players or anything.

Damn sure hope so!

Well I should be alright then. I may just give it a try and try more than 1 gate if I have to. That usually works with that kind of stuff.

Just take the lens off and put it in your wife's purse. They're not going to say anything. I went to a major concert and they had signs posted at the gate about it and they didnt say anything about my DSLR. Their security was tighter than UGAs so you should be fine.

Buy a plastic one and fill it with bourbon. There will be plenty of pictures of the game

You can bring a dslr in. Might want to leave the 400mm lens at home though.
