@MikeBBonner: Both Geoff Collins and Deshea Townsend said they are who they are. They play single coverage with their CBs. Will do the same w/Amari Cooper
Prayers sent.

That has to be smoke and mirrors. He'd be wide open all night.

I bet Coop has a big game regardless. He's probably hearing everyone say he had a bad game gaainst LSU so he's about to go ham.

They will single cover Cooper until he scores on a 80 yard hitch and go, then they'll realize "Holy shite, we are fricking stupid".

Teams that play Bama will realize they need to stop thinking of Cooper as a college wide receiver. Dude has NFL talent and would be a starter on a lot of teams in the league.
His route running is a thing of beauty, his speed is adequate (not the fastest but certainly shifty), his elusiveness is above average in the NFL, and his hands are normally exceptional. Only time they weren't was last Saturday, but nerves probably got the best of him.

"This is a mauling folks, a mauling."

If he doesn't drop 5 passes again I expect 200+ yards

If he goes for 200 and a couple touchdowns he may very well jump back in the race for a certain trophy

Not sure if I agree with that decision by Collins, but that's why I'm not a coach. I will say that I think y'all are underestimating our ability to get after the QB which will play a large roll in Coopers production. A WR can only do so much when his QB is being constantly pressured. Can't wait to see how it unfolds. Hoping for a great, injury-free game.

Agreed Pivey, it plays a HUGE roll, UT mush rushed as did UF and both paved the way for Coop to have career numbers. Sims is very elusive and throws pretty good on the run, rarely gets stuck behind the LOS. If State gives up bodies to try and get after Sims and only covers the WRs man with a zone over, Coop and to an extent a few others will make them pay.
I am excited as well

I'm worried that this is could be the game where Sims' inaccuracy finally catches up to him. He is only completing 61.6% of his passes. That IS more than GMAC did in his first year as a starter, and that was good enough to go 14-0, but times have changed and we can't afford to give Miss State favorable field position. Thank God for JK Scott.

Not sure I'd call sims inaccurate honestly. I don't recall him being bailed out by great catches much of at all this year. He's made some bad throws (who hasn't) but he's also thrown some very catchable, beautiful balls that have not been caught. Particularly deep balls. Howard @ OM and White @ LSU come to mind as balls where he gave his guy a great chance to catch it and they didn't. One gets away from him every now and then, but all in all I've been pretty pleased with his placement
