Lets talk about the greatest SEC coach in the past 20 yrs.

Sylvester Croom.......the man who marched into Bryant Denny in 2006 and took no prisoners.

I just can't believe we haven't erected a statue of this guy outside of Davis Wade.

He also beat Saban in 2007.

I love Sylvester Croom and everything he's meant to the University of Alabama.

Croom is a good guy.

I don't think you're doing it right.

Yes very much so.

That game is a double-edged sword for State fans and the rest of the SEC WEST

Croom did quite a bit of good for the MSU program. He brought hard work and integrity, and got rid of a bunch of bad apples. I'm thankful he was hired at MSU when he was. While it didn't translate into wins on the field, it was definitely a good hire for numerous reasons.

No one is saying he's not a good guy. Great guy and character. Awful Head Coach in college football. Not his fault. Just was in way over his head....and didn't want to be in Starkville. He wanted that Bama job bad.

And HE ALSO SAID YOU JUST CANT WIN AT PLACES LIKE MISSISSIPPI STATE....and Dan Mullen is proving him wrong. Dan Mullen always said the hardest thing he had to do at MSU was change the mindset and mentality at Mississippi State. Which had been ingrained by Coach Croom and the old AD Larry Templeton.

So don't give me no BS about Coach Croom helped do a lot....

It's one season that isn't over. Let him sustain the success before we crown MSU the next college football super power.

I still to this day believe that Bama wanted to hire Croom, but knew the next few seasons would be rocky at best with the sanctions and didn't want Bama's first black head coach to fail under those circumstances.

Winning does not necessarily mean being a super power. Mullen has been winning. 7+ wins per year is winning.

Oh my bad I forgot 7 wins is a great season in Starkville. I was thinking about Bama.
