Do you want the 12th Man kickoff team back for home games?

Jackie used to have the whole team full of Walk Ons and then one would travel. They were mad men and nobody returned anything it seemed.

Also great win today.

The last time they came back I believe they had one run back on them. I believe that was during the Fran era.

I do remember it getting the crowd really pumped though.

I would probably be for it against non-conference opponents or on opening kick offs but not otherwise.

I loved it when Sherrill did it, but it is too important a job to leave up to all walk-ons, regardless of how fearless they are. I like having one #12 walk-on, though.

I remember this fondly but it's not possible any more. When Jackie did it, there was no limit on walk-ons so we had guys specifically for that.

Now there is a hard 105 limit. If we had 11 guys for kickoffs (and you'd probably need more for injuries), we'd only have room for 9 other walk-ons. We need walk-on QBs, kickers, deep snappers, etc and those guys aren't going to be kickoff specialists too.

It was a good idea but just not tenable in today's CFB world.

I'll tell you what we need. We need to figure out how to get the FTAB to every SEC game. Maybe not all 400 of them, but the 243 upper classmen version perhaps. Or even a 183 man squad. It seems to make a real difference to the football team. (Cases in point: Alabama 2012 and Auburn today). I've been in the stands singing The Spirit acapella and it's really kinda crappy. If anyone can afford to pull this off then we can.
