Is my team, Auburn, #3 or #4?
Is Bama #3 or #6?
Will the ESPNs and CBSs use the CFP rankings, or stick with AP?

They always used the BCS rankings, so I'm assuming they'll use the CFP rankings.

Starting paying attention after the 11/8 games.

I would say that the CFP rankings are utter and complete bullshite and always will be with only a hand full of voters making the ranking nationally.
The smart move would have been to keep the BCS, take the top 4 and let the play it out at the end instead of installing a bull shite system that is broken before it starts.

My vote is for the CFP rankings

Well, the BCS is not coming back. So, I guess Ole Miss is now #4 Ole Miss. LSU is now #19 LSU.

FIFY
If we get rid of the crap games that everyone is playing, reduce the regular season schedule to allow these playoffs to take place.

The Rant will use whatever rankings that have Bama lower.

Why should the AP or USA Today even continue to put out a poll?

Same records, head to head IMO

I dont' disagree with you on the 8 at all but that is still awhile off before people complain that they are getting left out of the playoffs of 4 teams.

Im saying, if the teams have the same records, I consider head to head the tipping point.
Thus Ole Miss above Bama

OK. I was kinda referring to AP, which all of the broadcasters have used to this point, or CFP ranking. I assume ESPN, CBS, etc. will now be using the CFP rankings.
So basically, a group of 12 is now deciding what a group of 60? was before. I don't know.

Uh, market demand?
Same as during the BCS era.

The smart move would be to set a criteria and put it into a computer and let the computer pic the 4 most deserving teams. No biased what so ever. Everyone know what's the criteria is before the season and then the coaches and players have some control over making the playoff. As of right now it's 12 people behind a curtain with no set criteria.
