Basically, it's just like Condoleeza is voting for 5 AP voters. I'm just not sure how that makes anything more objective. It is what it is.

I just wish they would have a set criteria , that way no bias is in the room during selection. I hate that one year they use who you beat, then the next year they use who you lost to. It amazing that the second biggest American sport has the most subjective national title in all of organized sports.

We just took a large pool of people deciding who was ranked where, and made it a smaller group. Genius! We've been hoodwinked. Bamboozled.

Yes, but it did not include the AP - as a matter of fact, all through the BCS era, the AP still awarded a championship trophy to the team at the top of their poll at the end of the season.
Why?
Because there is a market demand for it.

I bet you were one of the ones calling for censorship of the press in the early part of football season in an effort to suppress their opinions on who they thought the best teams were.
