Katy Perry did not do much to help Ole Miss

There is nothing like being disrespected to fire a team/fanbase up and bring them together. LSU is putting things together so I do not want to take away from the team, but I think much of the excitement and atmosphere that seemed to bother Bo Wallace Saturday Night was in response to Katy Perry's disrespectful actions towards LSU. LSU fans may try to downplay it, but it was pretty evident by the signs at gameday and the comments posted on this and other forums that it was a big deal to them. While the folks in Oxford may have gotten some laughs out of it, I think it is pretty cool that LSU ended up with the last laugh. There is a lesson in there somewhere.

I think Ole Miss' current ranking and the renewal of an old rivalry had more to do with a wild crowd than a harmless joke by a pop star with no affiliation to either school....

I am not an Ole Miss fan or a LSU fan. I was just glad to see a little revenge for her actions. It is always nice to see someone that disrespects someone put in their place. Like Gus McCrae would say "I don't like rude behavior in a person, won't tolerate it".

The Corndog was not about the school, the team, or anyone affiliated with LSU presently. It was an funny and harmless insult to sidewalk fans, to what I am. I did not go to LSU but I did live in Louisiana when I got my masters from ULL. But people take stuff way to seriously. Her joke, that game Saturday, and the game in 2 Saturdays will not affect your life. Relax.

we will systematically destroy things she loves or mildly familiar with. In this case we started with a football team she kind of likes.
