The game
I'm not sure if it was the pressure Chavis applied all night or if it was poor playcalling on our part, or a combination of both, but we simply did not attack the middle of the field the entire night.

Poor playcalling (and a rattled QB) on the final two drives cost us any chance of having an average field goal attempt or any shot to score a go-ahead TD. We tried to run the ball to the outside on sweeps to open both drives and they were both stopped in the backfield.

The LSU defensive line swatted at least five passes down? Anyone have an exact stat on that?

Jamal Adams will be a another great LSU safety. He has great instincts.

I knew y'all would run the ball well (and see my previous posts if you don't believe me), especially off tackle. We don't have the beef to stop outside runs by physical running attacks.

I still don't see why we didn't at least try the field goal. I'm sure we had a quick pass called, but I just don't see how you don't give the kicker a shot.

Bo was overthrowing receivers all night but underthrew the final pass of the game, which I found a little ironic.

Glad y'all rushed the field because now I can use the Super Bowl excuse tomorrow when I get shite from my LSU friends.

My jimmies were rustled last night and now I am no longer rustled. I'm bummed, for sure, but the Tigers outplayed us last night and, as we all saw on that TD drive in which they ran the ball 12 consecutive times, they deserved to win.

The fans, Tiger Stadium, and Baton Rouge
Outside of a drunk douchebag or two, everyone was friendly. I wouldn't term the fanbase "welcoming," but it's a rivalry game for Christ's sake.

Bogie's was pretty cool on Friday. The women were

No piss balloons, no drinks poured on us, etc.

People congratulated and wished us luck for the rest of the season after the game ended, which I found classy.

For the record, I talk shite on tRant, but not at opposing stadiums since that's generally a bad idea.

The only real negative interaction I had was in the bathroom at halftime. After I pissed, I walked out of the bathroom without washing my hands. Before I got to the door, a Tiger fan said to me "At LSU, they teach us to wash our hands." I responded with "At Ole Miss, they teach us not to pee on ours." He got a little rustled and called me couple of names, but it's not like it was anything vitriolic.

For the record, I wash my hands after I pee, I was just drunk.

Tiger Stadium is loud, very loud. RIP to the dude who died of a heart attack after the game.

Overall, I had a fun time but wish we would've pulled off the win.

Glad to hear this. There's no question LSU fans have gotten spoiled under Saban/Miles and TigerStadium is not as CONSISTENTLY hostile/loud as it once was, but it is very nice to see the old lady come alive when needed.

DeathValley was "Back "Saturday, and I was glad to see it.

Tailgating was great. My buddy knew a guy who had a three-tent set up and I paid him $20 and got to drink and eat all we want. The food was great.

FOR THE RECORD, I wash my hands after I pee, I was just sloppy drunk.

Where would you rank last night in Tiger Stadium's history as far as environment goes?

One of the top 2 or 3 I've ever been in Tiger Stadium. You literally could not hear the person next to you talking. The new expansion really makes the noise bounce back down to the field. Bo Wallace was rattled. ETA: my nephew shook hands with Hugh Freeze and 10 Ole Miss players. Told him he was a great ambassador for LSU

I haven't been to a ton of games, but I always manage to get tickets to the big ones. It was as good as any I've been to. 2012 Alabama was a bit more electric. It didn't have quote that feeling but it was just as loud.

I personally barely have a voice today.

Yeah, you had a WR wide open on the near sideline where Bo rolled out for a quick 8 yard route, but of course Rattled Bo decided to go into hero mode and fricked you guys over.

Even though I don't think Bo is a good QB, the last drive was on Freeze. When you got out of bounds with 9 seconds left, nobody on the staff knew what to do. It was at that point, the staff should have had a play called to get you just 5 more yards on a simple play to the outside. You could have attempted at 37 yard FG instead of a 42.

What happened was confusion that led to a penalty and a 47 yard attempt(if attempted). Put Bo at a huge disadvantage.

At least it would have given Bo a 42% chance of making the pass for the 5 yards.

Everyone was to damn tired to start crap after the game.

A Ole Miss fan dropped a drink on us by accident no worries.

The old man beside me was talking crap about LSU to us until I asked if he was on campus when the National Guard came to help black students attends OM and what side he was on at the time. He was quiet the test of the game

I'm glad he went out and won the Alabama game for us, at least.

Dude struggles on the road and on grass surfaces, I believe.

Bo Wallace on the road and on non-artificial surfaces
2014 - 2-1 on the road, 2-1 on grass
2013 - 2-3 on the road, 1-3 on grass
2012 - 2-3 on the road, 1-3 on grass

Wallace was quoted in The Advocate today that "TS was the craziest place I've ever played in. It was definitely a factor". Taking him at his words, then, plus Chavez's pressure, it's easy to understand why the ball was sailing on him so much. And he came close to just dropping the ball on the play where he curled into the middle of the line, then rolled out & tossed the interception that was called back due to interference. He should have had at least 3 interceptions. Pressre definitely got to him.

Of the games I have personally attended;

#1 atmosphere ever IMO was Florida 2007

#2 was Georgia 2003

#3 was Bama 2012

I'd put OM 2014 somewhere right behind those 3 in the 4-6 range....spicy atmosphere for sure, I've seen better but only a handful of times. The things the above had that this one didn't was true national title implications for LSU. This OM game was more about pride for LSU, imo, to let everyone know that while we might be in a transition year, we're still here and to watch out for us the next few seasons.

Pretty sure I heard the LSU radio guys say 10 after the game ... a couple of players each had 3.
