Bryan Allen says he "admires" UGA running back

quote:

"He thinks he ought to be playing football this Saturday and thinks that he should not be punished," Garland said.

Garland said Allen only made one payment to Gurley.
"He greatly regrets that he made the one payment to him, $400, he wishes he never had," Garland said.
Garland stressed to Winne that Allen only made one payment for the signing of little football memorabilia items.

"It was a one time thing, he never had any dealings with Gurley before that time or after that time," Garland said. "In fact he admires Gurley."

UGA suspended Gurley while they investigated. At the time of his suspension, Gurley was considered a frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy.

Well, this sure is a change of tune. Wonder if the pressure got to him

ETA: It's not yet been made official, but this right here would indicate that both he and the school are running with the $400 amount in which case he will be back for Florida (barring the NCAA going suicidal and doing something drastic).

Probably scared from all the threats he has been getting from Georgia fans. I have read rumors on another board that he has moved out of the state of Georgia for fear of his own safety

Given that 11 Alive and WSB keep putting out news reports about him calling the cops to run the media off his yard, I don't think there's much truth to these "rumors." Nobody has been so thankful to see UGA win the past two games as this guy, though. He's going to have to leave the state to work a normal job, but at least most folks have moved on from the knee-jerk, physical violence stuff by now.

I think Gurley should come back after he works about 60 hours at a minimum wage job to pay back the $400 dollars.

He was just interviewed from his home by an Atlanta news crew in the past two days, so I don't think that's true.

Yeah! What Gurley did was an offense to minimum wage job workers everywhere and he should have to feel their plight! Surely that'll remind him of the trailer he came from and he'll think twice before signing an autograph for money over the next two to three months!

I came on the rant earlier today and there wasn't a single Auburn vs Georgia thread, or Auburn thread, or Georgia thread with an Auburn infestation.

I was sad. I kind of missed you guys.

btw, in a strange way I think the last thing anyone wants to have happen is you lose to Florida, including Florida fans. It wouldn't even help Auburn if that happened. You bastards.
