Texas A&M has opted out of a home-and-home series with Oregon that was set for games in 2018 and 2019, FOX Sports confirmed Thursday. Aggie athletic director Eric Hyman exercised a clause from the contract A&M and the Ducks agreed to back in 2009 that said they could get out deal if A&M changed conferences. The deal was made when the Aggies were in the Big 12 and they have since moved to the SEC. The Ducks wanted to keep the games against A&M and are now left to scramble to find games against another significant opponent in that two-year window. The Aggies had been slated to visit Eugene Sept. 15, 2018 with the Ducks making the return trip to College Station Sept. 14, 2019.

Whoever their coach is in 2018 and 2019 probably would agree with this decision

Shocker.

They know that when you're losing 4 or 5 conference games per year, you can't afford to give any away out of conference.

A&M's non-conference schedule is simply embarrassing.

Much like everything else A&M related.

Word is that they've been working on getting a 2 game neutral site series with Rice at Reliant and Rice demanded those dates.

Timing is awful.

Hope the UCLA series isn't gone next.

aTm realized that their scoreboard doesn't go up to 3 digits, so it would be problematic keeping track of Oregon's points.
